Awesome man! Going to the dunes is a ton of fun! It does put a lot of strain on the electronics and mechanical components though….that’s why I usually break at the dunes lol 😂

yeah 4s is plenty for me and my summit too. i still have a mamba 2 and a sensored castle

Everything in the drivetrain is upgraded so it theoretically should be able to take 4s power all day….It’s definitely not a basher though lol 😂

How does the 2 speed trans hold up to 4s brushless? I've got an E-Maxx Brushless Edition and want to add the 2 speed kit, which makes it the same internals as the Summit. I also ordered an aluminum dog carrier to reduce the slop.

I haven’t had any issues with the transmission on 4s and on 6s…mines not upgraded either….it’s everything else on the machine that seems to break lol 😂

What ESC motor setup? I've got an old hw sc8 with 4274, u think it'd be enough for the heavy summit? Wondering if the hw would take 5s like I run the stock system on now?

It’s the Vxl6s and 2200kv motor out of the E Revo 2.0….I usually only run it on 4s, occasionally on 6s though

When you say the batteries wont last long (in that sand and the tires). How long does it last ?

6s is basically a no-go…..you can still break stuff on 4s…..I recommend HD Diffs as well as steel driveshafts all the way around

Armma made a Nero and it was brushless but traxxas sued them and now they won't make anything close to what armma had given us it is really upsetting

I owned a Nero….sold it as soon as they discontinued it….probably can’t find parts for them now…

@@OverlandSubaru these diffs are already upgraded….aluminum diff cups…hot racing spiral cut gears….gpm spider gears…they’re a lot better than stock but they still end up failing eventually….it must just be a poor differential design or too small of gears

@@RCKnockout hmmm, I may convert mine to the "LT", keep it brushed or limit brushless power to 3s. I JUST got a summit today (got scammed so I'm missing (or recieved broken) a tonne of parts :(

@@OverlandSubaru yeah they’re not a great candidate for brushless power…I break often on 4s and about every single run on 6s….its just not a great platform for big power or heavy bashing
