The amount of information in these videos makes this one of my favourite behind the scenes type video series.

I got to say Make-up and Effect Artists like Ralis are what got me into Cosmetology and are continuing sources for inspiration when I have a rough day at work dealing with my Apprenticeship.

I love Ralis' explanations on what happens to the body during things like burns and bruising while showing how to replicate it. Very helpful. Knowing why you're doing something is at least as important as knowing how to do it.

Ralis, you are a great teacher and presenter. Very entertaining and educational. I don't know if I will be doing any of this stuff but I just watch because your teach it so well. Keep up the great work.

Great episode guys!! Love all the work put into the show. The science and anatomy really helps in getting a sense in how to do the make up instead of a guessing over how its supposed to look, it gives the Make-up artist to make artistic choices for the effect while still having a basic template to follow. Here's my suggestion for future episodes: Skin peeling (sun burns to extreme flesh peeling), how to make professional squibs for shootings, prosthesis' (nose, eyebrows, chins).

Ok, I have to admit I was wrong. I must have misinterpreted the concept of this show. I thought they were going to be doing high-priced stuff, and I'm glad I stuck around because they're doing stuff any of us can do by following their examples. Top-notch guys!

Another sweet episode, Ralis and Zack. Great to see some of the basic make-up effects like burns and bruises. Hope to see more stuff in the episodes to come. Request wise, would like to see a tutorial on bubbling skin like for the werewolf transformation scene in The Howling, how to pull off a simple werewolf transformation (if possible), broken bones like arms and noses, and exposed wounds like bullet holes and deep cuts. Be great to see how you pull it off with special FX... AND SCIENCE!!!

Featherweight sent me to the vid where you guys re-built his gun, and you totally sold me on mould-making. I really need an excuse to try it. Make-up effects are a little more realistic for me though. That transfer bruise looks AMAZING - I wouldn't have thought such a simple technique would work so well.

This is great again! I always look forward to these tutorials! I was wondering if you guys could maybe show some techniques for fat suit makeup or fat suit use? Anything to put a significant amount of weight on an actor without forcing them to overeat. Thanks for the consideration, love the vids as always

I remember doing this stuff in Theater Arts class, in middle school. We used a stipple brush and powder makeup on a wet base, but that was stage makeup and needed to be thicker. Still fooled our teachers who let us out thinking we'd been in a massive fight. Oh, the memories.

One thing I would like to see you guys do is a melted metal effect. Like the liquid adamantium in X-men 2 or the X-men Origins: Wolverine movies. Combining that with Zack's Si-Fi injection thing from BFX would look awesome!! And while you are at it make a red hot liquid metal also. I am already thinking of all the possibilities..

I'd love to see a basic film makeup tutorial, including airbrush/HD setups. I learned the basic, basic, basics of it in high school, but only for SD makeup and since I have dark features, I really only had to do base and concealer. I'd love to learn more about just general TV/film makeup.

@haynesdustinb Good question! For the cream make up A baby wipe , for the grease paint, a make up remover like cold cream or isopropyl myristate. For the Alcohol activated make up, Isopropyl Myristate and a baby wipe

@Kreaden no, i understand that. im not saying dont make make-up videos, im saying space it out. dont make 2 make-up videos in a row. have one special effect, one makeup, one prop or prosthetic or whatever, then loop. but having one make-up tutorial after another is a bit repeatative.

Here's a good one for you guys. How do you create the effect of an exposed artery? For example. Say somebody gets cut on their arm near the pulmonary artery or on the neck near the carotid. You almost always get a gushing effect because of the blood pressure and heart rate. How is that simulated in a movie? Also, it would be pretty cool to see someone's throat get cut wide-open in the next Nuka Break episode (or the one after...wherever you guys can fit it in. XD)
