Mid April will be 2 years with my first pair of keen work boots. Best boots I've ever had. I also wore red wings prior to keen . The boots in the video are actually men's Davenport, not Mt.Vernon. Davenports are insulated and have the traction mentioned. I highly enjoy appreciate your videos. Keep up the great work!

Keen Detroit 8" saved my foot from being cut off...or at least saved the tendons on the top of my foot from damage. I've worn keen Targhee IIs through Africa, Afghanistan, The Teatons, The Long Trail in Vermont, and countless other ventures and job sites. They are my favorite band of boot.

Most definitely one of your better videos, that was pretty cool with the fox. I was a floor installer for 17 years, the company went out. After that I ran tire shops. I've always used Wolverine or Red Wing, because they're so durable, I sprayed them with Camp spray it waterproofs them. Working on cement floors all day my whole life my feet feel great when I get off work. They really take a pounding, and they last and, they're made here in OUR COUNTRY!!

I've tried dozens of brands of workboots. The only boot I will wear now is Keen Coburg. They are the only boots that last a season in my line of work. They keep my feet warm in negative temps and are very durable. Would recommend Keen boots to anyone. Love them

Love my keen boots. I used to only wear Red Wings too and my dad's boss let him try a pair of his keens and he never gave them back so I had to try them and now it's all we own. Many of the models are made in Oregon but many are also made over seas. I really like the Milwaukee model and the Tacoma model.

The guys at my work love them, but I'm a redwing guy myself. My question to you is have you tried the Irish setter line from redwing? My feet stay dry, warm and in a 12-16hr day still comfy. I currently have their side zip composite toe safety boot with memory foam inserts ( that's how they come) they aren't insulated but it's my go to Summer boot.

Ive had the best luck with my Thorogood boots over the years and ironically I haven’t had a Red Wing that has fit my feet well enough to continuously use them. I might give the Keen’s a try as long as they make a wide platform. Their standard hiking boots feel good but fit small over all.

One of the biggest things Keen is known and popular for in the outdoor hiking world is being a nice wide broad boot!! Many run super small and tight! But Keen and Merrell run wide esp Keen! Both r known for extreme comfort! I'd kill to have a pair!! Or another pair of Merrells! But no money don't buy shoes of any kind....

Redwings kill my feet because I have wide feet. Keens have nice wide boots. I’ve never found such a comfortable boot as my Keen Pittsburg. I really want to try the Philadelphias but my Pittsburgs are indestructible so I’m going to just buy them because I want them, not because I need to. 😂

Tried them all in heavy work, forestry, landscape and solar construction and utility distribution audits ( ditch humping mostly). Using Thermics now; although a bit heavy they are a serious "all wheel drive" boot, comfortable shock absorption, armoured shins, and form fitting which means your feet and ankles have all-around support and not as hot as you would think.

I went from Redwings to Keen. I found them more comfortable. I'm on my second pair of Keen's and I do have a complaint about the soles...both pairs have split across the width of the sole. Both splits happened somewhere around the first and second year of use. Mind you that I'm wearing the boots almost everyday. Never had a pair of Redwings soles split...just worn the soles out. Come to the conclusion that comfort might be the determining factor vs. how long they last...

After going though several pairs of redwing, ba mason, a variety of military boots and other boots I came across a company called Russel Moccasin who hand makes their boots custom fit. After spending about $600 I got a pair of boots that are hands down the best I have ever had. So far they have outlasted 2 pairs of any of the previous boots mentioned with much more service in front of them.

Was looking at video reviews of electric chain saws for my wife, so she didn't have to use the 22 inch Stihl, when I saw this video. Absolutely luv your fox. I have been wearing Keen boots every day for the last 2 years and have yet to have a complaint. Waterproof, comfortable from day 1, work very well in the summer heat or winter cold (at least KY cold). Looking at their web site, or in the stores, you will find that some are made in China and some made in America, sometimes it's hard to find the country of origin though. Ran into the same thing years ago when I bought a pair of Justin boots. Both times I ran into features I liked better in the foreign boot, but always bought American.

Switched to Keen boots in 2010. 8" insulated waterproof steel toe version. I liked them so much that I bought another pair before the first pair wore out. Super comfortable from day 1. These boots are so comfortable, I would wear them in the summer even thought they are insulated. Now that they are worn out, I will have to find a new model from Keen because they no longer make this particular kind anymore. Love my Keens.

I am a mail carrier and i have a set of boots for every kind of weather, thorogood for hardsnow/ice and keen hiking boots for rain (the driest boot ive worn for 8 hours in complete downpour) adidas ultra boost for summer days. the best accessory for anyone for boots/shoes is a boot drier, it actually bakes the boots the dry, slow heat drys and kill all the germs in the boot so in the am you have a nice dry warm boot to put on.

I'm an ironworker outside. It's December. Are you saying Thorogoods are not a good idea. I bought a pair of Mt Vernon 6 inch keen utility boots at 185 dollars on black Friday. Here I am 3 weeks later . Their boots outlets ripped so I got all confused so I ordered a pair of Thorogood 8 inch waterproof composite toe at 244.99. Did I like a bad decision with thorogoods? Please clarify and let me know. Sorry to bother you. Love the channel.

Redwing 2414 supersole, i put on tuff toe, I laced up my metatarsal guards, and put in Superfeet merinogrey, had them for 2 years. By far most comfortable and durable boot I’ve ever wore. Still waterproof. I’m a gas construction laborer.

One second pair of keen Pittsburgh boots. Love my first pair, this pair seems to be a little more slippery on snow and ice. But for being on concrete for 10hr a day, I like them.

I wear Keens; steel toed, non-skid boots. Not only do I wear Keens, I wear Keens all day long 6 days a week Monday through Saturday and half the day on Sunday. I work on heavy construction sites and Keens easily last me 15 months. I love them. They're light weight, warm, waterproof (even though they're not officially waterproof), and comfortable!

I know lots of people that love their Keens and they do make sturdy footwear, but...I haven't had good experiences with them. I replaced a pair of Tevas with some Keens and that is when I first started developing plantar fasciitis (fallen arches). The Keens had zero arch support and I guess I've always had high arches. I never even knew because no shoe I have ever worn has had so little arch support. Even with orthotics, I could still barely walk in my Keens at the end of a workday. I finally went back to some new Tevas and my plantar fasciitis immediately started getting better. It is now a few years later and it is pretty much gone. Take from that what you will.

I wear Keen Pittsburgh steel toe boots everyday. They are hands down the most comfortable steel toe boot I've worn, hold up great, and are extremely water proof.

I have been wearing Bates G8 Ultralites for probably 15 years they were made in the USA originally, they do not get wet unless they get over topped. The first set lasted 2 years. I was a Volunteer Fire Fighter and construction worker. I wore them 6 days a week. As a truck driver I only wore them in the winter. Then as a waste company commercial trucks driver I wore them 6 days a week all year round. Then the third set lasted about 4 years after about 2 years I gave them a shot of seal waterproofing just for added protection. I tried other boots but they just wouldn't stand up most only lasting 6 months. Feet get wet and stay wet boots stink they do not breath. Bates has a carbon fiber toe and shank they do not get cold like steel, then they are made for Police and Fire fighters as a duty boot. They are extremely light weight not weighting much more than a average pair of tennis shoes. I love them.
