These guys delete comments and reviews as well. The company is more trash than the boots. I had a debate with one of my technicians a bit ago about these boots. He was 2 weeks into them claiming how comfortable they were. 2 months later he was wearing Thorogoods. 😂

A work buddy came into the shop one day excited that he had just ordered an "awesome" pair of new boots. When I asked him what kind, he said it was a new, up and coming brand that I probably hadn't heard of, and he couldn't remember the name anyway. In my head, I remember thinking - I sure hope they aren't Brunts or Portlands... A week later, homeboy comes in in shiny new Brunts. I didn't say anything because he's a nice guy and seemed stoked on his new kicks. Maybe all the trusted and negative reviews I had seen were overkill... Sure enough, in about three weeks, the poor guy's boots started falling apart. Pretty bad too. It was as if one thing held them together, and that one key piece had broken. Anyway, it made his day hell and he had to go to the local farm and feed after work and buy some Thourogoods off the shelf. This was about a year or so ago, give or take. His Thourogoods are holding up just fine...

I am on my 4th year wearing my Georgia boots, great boots and perfectly happy with them. I've seen these and others in the price range, and that sketchy advertising (I actually had just watched another popular boot reviewer comment on the same kind of advertising on another brand, (funny how the lower tiers are coming out to make a buck) before watching this one) the worst pair of work boots I ever had were a pair of Wolverines that the stitching, practically all of it, broke within 6 months. I resewed them and they lasted about a year. Great video, love your content and I am sure the owners of Brunt all wear loafers 😀

I remember I use to follow this contractor on IG and really liked brunt. I was looking to upgrade my boots so I was going to purchase these. Literally about to pay and thankfully got distracted. Later that night saw a video from rose anvil about the new whites moc toes. Bit the bullet and dropped $365 for boots. Kind of regretted it but also excited and curious? That was 3 years ago. Still wearing them, resoled once, and still the most comfortable anything I’ve ever worn on my feet. Can stand all day and walk all day, no pain. And still in great shape. Will be retiring them soon.

I absolutely can't stand that brand!! I'm glad to see someone roasting them. After years of seeing their annoying ads, there are 2 things that bug me the most: 1) Anytime someone comments on their ads asking about country of origin, they give the same generic response about how they could only find manufacturers in China to make those boots to their comfort and quality specifications. Like a garbage throw-away cemented boot is so rare and only special Chinese factories could meet those rigorous standards. 2) They claim to cut out the middle man and pass the savings onto the customer. Except the prices aren't even good for how low quality their stuff is. I think they use the extra profit on all their annoying ad campaigns and fake reviews.

CM or JP sizing is based on actual measurements and after a week and a half of going back and forth I gave up. They just kept saying that they fit true to size. But the US vs EU sizing didn't match up as they normally do with other brands. If they can't answer sizing information then they don't deserve my money.

Those 3 are the only sizing that uses actual measurements. To properly measure your feet, place a piece of paper against a wall. Stand on the paper with one foot and your heal against the wall. Trace your foot with a pen/pencil. Repeat for the other foot. Then measure the length of your outline from heal to the top of the big toe in CM/MM with a metric measuring tape.

I've been seeing the ads for these a lot. All of the tough/cool guy marketing hype lets you know real quick that these are not great products. Most boots at $99 are going to be junk. Several other brands at that price have lasted me a few months and were falling apart. Tractor Supply offers the Ridgeline brand which looks almost the same as these and they have the same complaints. The boots are falling apart in a few months. Very few things are built to last anymore. And it seems that when companies actually make a good, reliable product, they stop making it or change it. It's almost if, they don't want to make great products and would rather have us constantly shopping to find the best thing.

My Brunt "Work" boots - which I hardly wore - never for any real work - didn't even last a year. The insides wore out. I contacted Brunt as for $170 i would think a year would be nothing for "work" boots and they told me that rather than stand by their product they offer a 30-day return period to be sure you like what you purchased, and that flexibility was better than a warrantee. I disagree. I have boots that have 10-15 years on them, resoled, that are still wearable. Less than a year of light use is unacceptable unless you're buying $50 sneakers. They look brand new except the lining inside is tattered. Junk.

Brunt work boots are horrible. Toes starting forming bunions because of them. Even their wide boots are too narrow for me. they already starting falling apart, it’s only been a year
@robertryan196510 ай бұрын
Absolutely the worst pair of boots ever. Fell apart in less than 2 months and there is no warranty at all. You just get the runaround from Brunt. An absolutely unscrupulous company looking to steal your hard earned money.

Pipefitter here, refineries, climbing towers 10-12hr days 6 days a week usually. I actually like brunt, I also bought 2 pairs of thorogoods 300$ each. Thorogoods are ok but are too heavy and stiff for my liking compared to the brunt which has held up almost 2 yrs later. Did i just get a rare great pair? Lol also they are truly the best waterproof ive had compared to others. But i havent wore thorogoods enough to know how comfortable they can be. I Just wear them for woodworking at home.

I feel like Taft/Taft 365 and Portland Leather Goods/Patina deserve this sort review as well.

Sounds reasonable to me. $140 a month for a year is only $1680.

I honestly wanted to love these...but I always get unexplainable knee pain after a few hours when I wear them. I've never had knee pain before. Comfortable enough when moving, but I feel like the fatigue set in for me when just standing.

I've had a pair of Keens for a month now, and they're killing it. Holding up great to aggressive treatment. If you're on a budget, Carolina and Keen are brands I can say from experience hold up great.

Keen offers a year warranty also against defects but I ran keens and brunt’s also danner, all have been good to me in the construction industry

I agree with you about Keens being good quality boots at a good price. Plus, Keens have good foot support and a wide toe box.

I agree that sponsored advertising shady reviews etc are all things to call out. That being said I also don't necessarily expect a company to not do them regardless of the quality of their product. Personally I don't think I'd compare them to something at double the price as "just save a little bit more" I don't think people who are at that price point are the people you should encourage to "save a little extra" That's something that I'd suggest when it's a 10-20% price difference. Save a little bit more for a pair of Jim Greens sure maybe but it's not a bit more for a pair of Red Wings or White's Perry boots. It's full on twice the price which is fine and might be worth it for you but it's not a comparable product range imo. I also am quite tired of heritage/work wear reviewers that put "made in china" as a con or a negative. Like for a review that isn't a con a con is supposed to be where you put the objectively bad things not your personal preferences. If I was reviewing a jacket and put in the cons "Oh I didn't like the color" that would be ridiculous it's a perfectly good personal reason to not keep or buy a jacket but I'd never tell someone else not to buy a jacket because I didn't like the color or I don't like where it was made.

The only thing I really liked about my Brunt boots was the 30 day try on/return window because I returned them ASAP. I work on wet surfaces and the Brunt boots felt like I was skating on ice.
