SHORT STORYTIME! So I watched this video and another one of your Gerbert reviews and Gerbert looked sooooo familiar. It was bothering me so much that I texted my mom at 11:30pm, waking her up, asking her why I recognized this damn puppet. I even texted my big sister and asked if she recognized him. THEY WERE ECSTATIC My mom came and my room and asked me if I really remembered him and said: "he's the best little puppet EVER!" My sister texted back "where's Rory at tho", texted me lyrics to the Zaccheaus song (which I didn't know I knew but I did. Also my mom started singing it.), and sent me an episode. And apparently, when my mom had my little brother, she wanted to name him Zaccheaus. ALSO my dad bought my mom a poster of Gerbert a long time ago. So um yeah I guess my family are HUGE Gerbert fans and I didn't know until tonight (December 7, 2019). What a way to end the decade.

I’m not gonna lie, I love him. And you can totally tell the puppeteer (I’m guessing the voice and the moving is done by one guy…because money) has no real script. The whole make believe scene is just pure “whose line is it anyway?”. Brilliant. That’s what kids tv is missing these days. Absurd humour and adults who are on the brink of a meltdown.

In fact, his parents are the ones who instilled his racism and fear of the unknown into him, and both are things he began trying to rid himself of later in life. He even once stated that he couldn't rename the cat because it'd be cruel to force an adult cat to relearn its name.

@@ElFreakinCid where's your source? Because I couldn't find anything backing your claims, in fact most information I obtained was quite the opposite. I even remember a paragraph from one of his stories describing a black man in a manner that would leave the KKK in the dust. I appreciate everything that man has done for writing, but he was incredibly racist and that's fine. In fact I should probably get back to reading some of his stories, they can be tough to get through sometimes but are incredibly impressive regardless.
