Thanks so much Sean and greetings from Colorado! I have a 2014 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 that we use on our ranch daily to drag riding arenas and pull a horse manure spreader after stalls are cleaned. I bought the ATV new 7-8 years ago and it is definitely a hard worker. I've probably changed the belt 5-6 times over it's life so far and we change the oil, clean it's K&N air filter and change oil filter once a month or so. We change the spark plugs once every year or so although we could only find the front plug and so only changed that one until a few weeks ago when I found a video on how to change the back plug. I will say that after looking at it a bit more there is no need to remove all the plastic that I saw in the videos I found on KZbin. Just take off the seat and you have a straight shot at that back plug. Pretty amazing though because I ran the factory plug for over 7 years and it still actually looked pretty good. I just changed it because I finally found it and figured what the hell. I've got to say the 750 Brute Force is one badass vehicle. We don't drown it mud like I've seen a lot of crazy Canadians do so I think that has helped it a lot. Still boys in Canada sure look like they have a ball mud bogging!! Thanks again Sean..your video really made swapping out the fuel pump a breeze of a job! You da man!!!

Well, thank you for the kind words friend. The Brute's really are good machines with some common sense. I'm glad you got something from watching my videos. Please share them with like minded friends. Cheers from Canada.

@@HammerHeadGarage I'm a Texas guy living in Colorado so I know a thing or two about snow but I have to say after watching a lot of KZbin videos on the Brute 750 from guys in Canada that Y'all ride the hell out of your ATV's and have a lot of fun and share back a ton of great info on how to make the machines work after serious abuse. High five Brother! So cool to see people from around the world sharing ideas and knowledge. Best to all the cool folks in Canada and thanks for sharing!

@@HammerHeadGaragehow many hours do you think a fuel pump should last? I'm at 65 hours now on my 2019.

To clarify for some of the haters i said the fuel pump part is the same not the plastic housing. the $40 rock auto pump used in this video was modified to work and as of Dec 29th 2020 is working perfect. Check out the other parts of this rebuild series before commenting negatively. Thanks.

Can't remember how many times I've watched this now but you are on point mate 🔥 I just bought my first quad which is a 2007 BF KVF650. It's not the best shape but I'm an enthusiast mechanic I work on cars a lot and thought I try my first quad. It's started having problems as all I do is donuts and go hunting 🤣 but now unfortunately having issues 🤭

I done a few of these style pumps and just learned that there is more then one filter screen. There is a very fine mesh screen that needs to be punch out where the fuel regulator and pump attached to. I see that main fuel screen bad so I bet the fine mesh screen is plugged too. This month I will need to go back and punch out that screen inside the fuel/regulator is at on my machines I had worked on because they are not 100%.

Don't feel bad Brian. That screen gets alot of people and clogs up easily.

Ended up troubleshooting my presumed fuel pump issue with your video. The video was great and helped my diagnose my fuel pump pressure was not the issue. Thank you for saving me $800. Keep up the good work sharing vids on the Brutes.

Hey my man can you please buy a tripod for your cell phone/camera so that your recording angles are steadier... it will make it a lot more easier to follow exactly what you are doing 💪 I will be doing exactly this if my fuel pump is the cause 😎

I changed the fuel pump last year and it seems to have the same intermittent power problem less than 50 miles give or take a little. Should I have to change the pump yearly? Is there a different problem? Also what fuel do I need to use? I started using 87.
@HammerHeadGarage9 ай бұрын
There is a hidden screen where the fpr plugs into the plastic housing. Did you use a bent nail to poke a hole in the screen? Google it.

Do another fuel pump test to see how much flow your getting. Otherwise leak down test time.

you are just blown away by that filter doing its job arent ya? xD xD decent vid lol. i would say try and get some better footage of all the o-rings and their placements. and tell people not to loose the piece that goes between the pump. and the upper plastic. it's a small piece that is removable. and does NOT come with the aftermarket pump kits. you have to transfer it

Brute force 750 is the carb engine timing the same as the fuel injec ones ... i blew my o9 engine so i got a 08 carb i converted it to injec it starts but it has no power and back fires in rear cyl
@HammerHeadGarage4 жыл бұрын
The timing for the injected engines is controlled by the ecu. The carb motors are non adjustable and fixed. If you had the engines apart make sure you have the rear cam in the rear cyl. they are different. And can cause this issue.

It won't fit any of them but if you modify it as I show you it works. Going on 10 months now and working strong. The fuel pressures are very similar.
