@@belvagurr403He was 9 years old. He wrote it 20 years later? Sounds like it had a double meaning. My favorite track by him. I don't think he was doing 69 in 69 at the age of nine. Probably imagining or just looking back but I definitely would say the potential of him getting his first guitar and playing it to his fingers blood was more likely at 9.😅😅😅😅😅

It’s been over 30 years since I’ve allowed myself to listen to this song. When I was 16 I experienced my first love. He was an amazing human being, athlete, and boyfriend. His last JV football game they played their rivals and won. And he was the reason. He was only 5’4” but he was awesome. After the game he picked me up. We just drove around.I wanted to go to his house but he said no it’s late and I respect your Dad way too much. He dropped me off. Two hours later his mother was pounding on my door at 1 am. He had been killed directly in front of his home by his neighbor who was driving drunk. He was just 16. It rocked my world for years. This song, was the one song he told me was his song to me. He said this is how I feel about you. 😢- Kristin

Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer from the west coast of Vancouver British Columbia moved to the states and became a superstar you should consider listening to his first album I think it's called Summer of 1969 that's also the name of his first song on that album another song from that first album is called run to you, He did a song with the late Tina Turner called "it's only love" he has a large catalog I think you'll like the song "best of me" is another good one you'll like is catalog as I said it is quite huge he's from the '80s so you could just imagine how many songs he has done for movies and with other artists like Mel C from spice girls. But I think you'll really like his very first album with the song Summer of 69 the thing about his first album is you're going to need to get the song list order from the internet because he wrote it in a story book format so if you listen to the very first song on the album you'll see the connection with the second song on the album the third the fourth the fifth so that's the only thing with that album is it does have a sequence in which you should listen to the songs so you can see the storyline play out like a video movie if you watch it out of sync some scenes in the videos won't really make sense fully so that's the only thing you'll need to know the songs in advance you just obviously wouldn't have heard them or seen the videos so that's my advice with this very first album you'll enjoy that and then move on to the rest of his huge catalogue.

Bryan Adams.. a fantastic Canadian artist that we are so proud of up here. He has written, sang, and produced many great songs. And just to let you know, Black Pegasus.. I don't mind when you ramble at times with your feelings about the the songs/music/lyrics as it often makes me think deeper on my own feelings on that particular song as well, instead of just reflecting on when I first heard the song in my younger years and just whether I liked it or not at the time. Anyway.. you can't go wrong diving into the Bryan Adams rabbit hole.

Absolutely love your reaction. I’m an almost 63 year old daughter, sister, aunt, wife, momma and mimi (grandmother). What you said about love and marriage so true. My parents were married 65 yrs. Were they perfect? No, but you knew that they loved each other always and forever. My husband and I will celebrate 44 yrs in the fall. Our 4 sons….born in 81, 82, 83 & 86….have all been married and divorced. Divorces that we, as parents, never saw coming. The longest lasted 17 yrs, then 12 yrs and then 6 yrs. One is on his third marriage. Two are engaged to be married for a second time….. I am hoping and praying for the last time. The fourth will probably never marry again. We wonder where we went wrong as parents, but in the end have to remember that they are adults. They are responsible for their own actions, decisions and the results of those. Happy Father’s Day to you. Love in your beautiful family and enjoy your day. 😊

As a Canadian, I kinda took Bryan Adams for granted all my life. Until I revisited this song, and "Heaven" recently He's is a Canadian treasure!

You should really listen them all! He’s an amazing artist! “Heaven” unplugged, the acoustic version is my favorite. I know you would love “summer of 69”, it’s a great song to listen during a road trip “Cuts like a knife” as well! “Please forgive me” “when you’re gone” (with Mel C from the spice girls) “all for love” “have you really loved a woman”…💜

Forever music... I like this phrase. I'mma keep it. :) Adams has so many amazing rock ballads. I've been obsessed with his music since I was 6. That's 35 years of him basically being the soundtrack of my life. Give him a try. It's so worth it.

I'm almost 70 years old and it warms my heart so much every time I hear you say a song from "our" generation must go on your playlist!💜 These songs are timeless and worth appreciation from every subsequent generation, so thank you!

It’s never to late to play for your wife. Everything I Do) I Do It for You" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. Written by Adams, Michael Kamen, and Robert John "Mutt" Lange, the power ballad was the lead single for both the soundtrack album from the 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Adams's sixth studio album, Waking Up the Neighbours (1991). My first concert was Bryan Adams in 1984 in Norfolk, Virginia when I was in the Navy. I love this song and Bryan’s concert.

Boy this one big hole you missed! This man is Canada's golden child. He's been rocking since the early 80's and still going strong! He has some if the best love songs and some serious rock tunes as well. Definitely jump down this rabbit hole! You will not be disappointed! Heaven, Straight from the heart, Please forgive me are all great love songs. Some of his other hits are Summer of 69, Run to You, Somebody, Can't stop this thing we started, Here I am (spirit movie). Best duets are All for one, It's only love and ole sol mio. This guy is fantastic when it comes to writing songs. He's done a lot of music for movies and plays as well.

My favorite thing about this song is that the melody is based on "Maid Marion", the instrumental love theme that is heard all throughout the movie itself. For a similar example, check out "Into the West" by Annie Lennox, which was from Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and, just like this, won the Oscar for best song.

Another Canadian legend. Been seeing him in concert for more than 25 years. You should also do All For Love (theme from Disney's Three Musketeers ) with Rod Stewart and Sting. Might also like Cory Hart Sunglasses At Night or Never Surrender
