I first heard Bryan Adams Live (in Melbourne, Australia) when he was the Opening Act on "The Police" last ever concert back in 1984. I was too young to attend but it was at the Melbourne Showgrounds and you could hear it all very clearly (as it was outdoor concert). I can remember Vividly riding my bike around the showgrounds listening to Bryan Adams followed by The Police!!!

I remember Seeing Bryan Adams at the America West Arena that the NBA Phoenix Suns Basketball Team Played at in 1994 . He had this Glass Laser Ball on the Side of the Stage that would shoot moving multi color Laser beams into the Audience on songs like " Heaven " or " Can't Stop This Thing We Started ".

Mutt Lange is the GOAT. Waking Up The Neighbours is a masterpiece. The construction and perfection of the songs shines through. You can hear every note counts. Hysteria is his Mona Lisa IMO.

Agree about Hysteria. Phenomenal album. 3 incredible ACDC albums as well. With a few exceptions they are almost the only 3 ACDC albums worth buying. Mutt is the vocal master. Can't believe how bad Brian Johnson sounds on other recordings. With Mutt he's incredible.

Very nice interview. I have loved Bryan’s music since the early 80s. I was grateful to see his videos on MTV as a teen. I had seen bryan a few times on the “waking” tour and he puts on amazing shows. I was lucky enough to be front row to see him and def Lepp during the 2005 baseball park tour. Luckily I happened to pass some fans after the show who told me Bryan was at his tour bus signing. I couldn’t have gotten there fast enough to have him sign his program for me which I still have to this day. My only regret was not asking him to have Keith and other members sign the program. But blessed I got to meet one of the greatest musician/songwriter ever. God bless Bryan Adams.

I was stoked to find a copy of Waking Up The Neighbors in a record store in Spain a few years ago! Being a 90s album, you never see that on vinyl here in the States. And it was cheap - only, like, 10€ or 15€, if I remember right!

Huge BA fan...saw him in Sudbury ON just as he was breaking huge.....Luba was opening act. Saw him a few years ago in Kingston ON (his birthplace)...in a venue comparable in size to the one here He and the band came out ...and just started playing and rocked ...no bullshit or trickery ....just an amazingly solid band ..with Bryan's perfect vocal leading the way. Keith Scott is such a great player. Great interview ..love to hear anything Mutt...was just listening to some Tony Platt interviews re:Highway to Hell....Back in Black etc Mutt's sale numbers are astronomical again...Great interview ..and channel.

Wow, you know your sh*t! You nailed those questions. Well researched and knew what you were talking about. Great job! Back in the late 90's Bob Clearmountain had a website and you could email him questions. I asked him about WUTN, and he said that "it was a shame to use the programmed drums. A waste of Mickey Curry", but it was just part of the sound. He also said, the drums were fairlight sounds, being run by an early version of Cubase on an Atari.

3:56 Mutt sure is. There is a Mutt Lange Def Leppard song with pretty much the exact same music as a Mutt Lange Bryan Adams song. Bryan Adams - Thought I'd Died And Gone To Heaven 1991 Def Leppard - Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad? 1993

When I was a teen my favourite records were Bryan's albums and Def Leppard too. Now I prefer the earlier recordings because both Leppard's and Bryan's Mutt-era is a bit too over-processed for my taste. Sometimes listening Def Leppard makes me think that it is much more about the sound than the songs themselves. Hearing Shania Twain for the first time (with so similar sound) my first thought was that the '92 Bryan Adams sound was not from Bryan but from Mutt.

Come on Bryan, bring back Mickey Curry. No disrespect to Pat Steward, but Mickey is special. The band doesn't sound the same without Mick. Too band Waking up The Neighbours didn't feature Mickey, other than some overdubs. I guess a machine grooves more than the mighty Mick. Lol Can't argue the with sales though.

the drums on that album are kinda over-the-top. lol. don't get me wrong, I'm a huge B.A. fan, but that drum sound reminds me too much of Def Leppard and it's hard to not hear that (and cringe) every time I listen to WUTN.

WUTN was not a good album. There are 15 songs on that album and only 4 of them are any good. Reckless was a great album but the guitar tone was hollow crap. Into The Fire was Adams last good album. Cuts Like A Knife is by far his best record, every song on it is good and the guitar tone is good. It's a masterpiece and the title track is his best song and video.

I agree, to me unfortunately he's strictly an '80s artist as in my opinion the last truly great album was '87 I haven't liked anything since then, sorry Bry. :) Artistically, Mutt killed off his career though business-wise a huge success but Bryan was already doing fine in the charts and certainly as a vocalist he didn't need to become a Joe Elliott clone and do Def Leppard type music, for me musically this was the last straw and several steps backwards making their meeting a match made in musical Hell, combining some the worst elements in rock'n'roll. Sadly, at least by the sound of it here he's stayed on this path ever since it just never made any sense to me, why degrade oneself this way.
