Got my BRZ back in January 2021 and the dude who i bought it from used to dirt track the car (he didn't tell me before i bought it ofc :') ) and i thought the scratching was from dirt getting lodged in between the panels and the glass. Had no idea this was an issue that ALL FRZ86s had. Awesome Video, thanks!

Same. Mine had a repair done on the driver side and i thought the whole door is botchy . The scratch on my glass lis exactly on the dot where the stoppers are.

This video saved my some serious cash. I found it easier to use a 14mm spanner to use for that trick bolt.

Nice video, helps alot! Is it possible to change only the window guides that make the scratches? Or do i have to get the window out first to change them guides?

You may be able to replace the guides without taking out the window, but you will have to take the door panel off.

for the window clips do you need 1 inner and 1 outer? or which ones do i get if i just want one door panel to be changed?

Dealer will have it, but it wont fix the scratches on your window.

@@sengnix3704 If you have a 13 frs or brz the moldings will have to be replaced since they updated them in 2014 and yes the guides and window will also have to be replaced. Thats why we make this part, also if you order from us ill toss in the guides for free.

The window guide is what gets dirt in it and scratches the glass.

Did your felt piece rattle? Something is rattling inside my door when my window is down.

Well it is built by Subaru so any number of things could be the cause of the rattle. Best advice I can give is take the door card off and just have a look around.

Can I Do It Without A Car Battery? B/c Im Taking It From A Junkyard, Can't Afford A Brand New Window😪.. @ Junkyards They Take Out All Batteries From The Vehicles For Safety Purposes..I Seen The Car @ The Junkyard B/c Took Some Parts Of It But Now Need To Go Back Again & Get The Window Out, Its Rolled Up All The Way & There's Not Even A Scratch On It.. Also I Didn't Know It Was A Common Problem, Mines Looks Even Worse Than Yours..Lol!

Yes you can hook up a power tool battery with some alligator clips to the motor inside the door. Look on the connector for the two largest wires and connect to them.
