The resurrection continues. Well done Dean , really enjoying these videos. That piston looks like it took a fair beating to come out , considering the time spent in the weather it’s not surprising. Take care 👍👍

Great video. Incredibly informative and well presented. I wish Grandad could have seen all this. Corrosion certainly done its work there. Entropy. The way of the universe. Good to see you have serviceable ones. Looking forward to the next installment.

@@carlwilson1772 I wish he could have seen it too. It would have been good to save the cases, but 47 years is a long time to be left to the elements. Best wishes, Dean.

The corrosion on the cases reminds me of the Vulcan at East Fortune. It was very sad to see the sorry state of that aircraft, given that it was a Falklands War hero. Corrosion had really started to bite.

@@carlwilson1772 it's a shame when things are left to rot. Not just for heritage, but for the celebration of the skills it took to make. At least we have a couple of them preserved. I'd really like to get the fracture surface of the case under a microscope, the ferrous infiltration is interesting. I might take it to work and see if I can borrow one.
