@@lionheart4529 If you're trying to sound coy about Jordan that's not secret news and Jordan only wore them in one game because of the NBA policy. Some rumors were Jordan did it to get in Penny's head instead of just wearing one of his older models but I doubt that was the case. Jordan didn't help sponsor it since Penny's shoe was already a success and he was already quite popular with the commercials prior to that. Penny was already an all star prior to Jordan returning in March 1995 in his first game back in the NBA against Indiana.

All their games were either on channel 32 or channel 39. Everybody in middle school wanted my authentic blue alternate Penny jersey with the stitching. I firmly believe that he would never have gotten hurt if Shaq had stayed in Orlando. He absolutely would’ve surpassed Magic Johnson on the GOAT list.

Wanna say his microfracture issue was started because he came back early to play in the all star game in 95 or 96 against doctor’s recs, when Shaq was still in town. It may have been the 96 Olympics tho tbh. I remember reading about it, and it had to do with not allowing the rest for the knee to heal.

Only player I ever saw give Penny major problems was Eddie Jones, he would back Jordan down, and take Pippen off the dribble.

Being a Memphian I was blessed to had watched Penny at Treadwell doing things I never seen a player his size do. He was interviewed after a game after destroying smaller guards and he said, “when they reach, I teach”. Then at Memphis State and finally at Orlando. That was the only time I was a Magic fan.

Penny got injured early in his career. So he never reached his prime. It's scary to think he probably would have been even better. Even though he was already incredible.

Penny was one of my all time favorite players, he would have been Top10 for sure, he was 1st team All NBA his 2nd and 3rd years. Him and Grant Hill should have been perennial all NBA 1sts and MVP candidates for over a decade.

The league didn't miss Jordan too bad when he retired the first time thanks to Hakeem, Penny, and Grant Hill. Even Kemp for me personally.

Penny was one of the most gifted athletes I have seen... Another one who had their prime cut short by injuries unfortunately and we never got to see him at his PEAK for an extended period. I love these days thinking back, good times.

Great player. The first nba jersey i bought was a black Orlando Penny jersey back in 1997. I liked him a lot. Too bad injuries killed his creer, he was on his way on being a top 10 all timer.

I worked for the Orlando Magic when Dwight was on the team. The broadcast dept was digitizing the old tapes which required playing them in real time to convert them. They had this setup behind a glass windows in the studio running for months. We kept stopping to watch the footage of those old games 5-10 minutes at time and I always said, man I forgot how good Penny really was! His game really was the complete package. As a middle school kind growing up in Orlando at that time, Penny was the closest thing to Jordan. We absolutely LOVED that 94 team who I think still could beat the best teams of today. I bet Shaq would agree. Penny was a guard on a different level at that time. As fun to watch as T-mac.

I love MJ, however there was something about putting a pair of Penny on for me personally back in the day playing ball. The energy behind this man. Truly one of the greats in my book for life ✨✨✨.

The opening play tells you all you need to know. Take of how each player had themselves ready to receive the pass from Penny. They knew to be ready because he was gonna make the right call either way, so if you’re ready for the pass, you won’t screw up the play. He was flashy, but he had that IQ of knowing what would happen before it happened. Penny was different.🔥

The moment Shaq left the Magic in the summer of 1996 - Penny was “done” and Kobe replaced him - because of Shaq Sad too that Penny’s injuries was another cause too (but that’s because he didn’t have Shaq as his partner anymore to lead the Magic franchise )- Penny worked twice as hard to try to lead the Magic as a legit team in the East in the late 90s after the summer of 1996

Penny Hardaway was the complete player that could do anything and everything on the court and he was a great passer and a great scorer that made his teammates better. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.
