The rappers of the group told they weren't real hip hop artists because they were part of a mainstream group and therefore fake. This is their declaration that they love music and can't escape it's orbit. They are musicians and artists regardless of how the industry labels them. Just like Pluto didn't stop existing because it was given a different designation.

Good to see someone appreciating the clever way RM uses Pluto to make a really great song. There is a colour coded version and the live version is great to watch. The boys always put a little extra into live performances. Try listening to House of cards, which is only the vocal line, and also V's solo work Slow dancing, he has a deep love of jazz.

Unique lyrics and songs! In 2015, BTS released Whalien 52, a song about the world's loneliest whale. Whalien 52 - a combination of the words Whale and Alien. I have always been amazed by the ingenuity and wordplay throughout their work. Whalien 52 is a perfect metaphor for the loneliness one feels growing up never being understood or heard. It is knowing that what you say is worthless when your words are spoken but never understood by someone of the same frequency. I would love your reaction to this song. You still haven't even touched on the variety of styles these men have to offer. And watch their performances live. They are amazing!

This song is based on what is known as the 52-hertz whale, a whale of unidentified species which calls at the very unusual frequency of 52 Hz. It's a much higher frequency than that of the other whale species with similar migration patterns. It has been detected regularly in many locations since the late 1980s and appears to be the only individual emitting a whale call at this frequency. It has been described as the "world's loneliest whale".
@tracybrunner86320 күн бұрын
@@kanoeruberson6619 they have recently discovered a second whale. Also the original 52 hertz whale now sings at 48 hertz, its vocals changed as it aged.

The flute buzzing around in the background is representing Pluto. Also, the words Pluto and Flute are similar in phonetics and visually to each other, just the ends vary slightly, lol,

For BTS doolsetbangtan has the best translations. It also adds context to the lyrics. BTS has 7 members: 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. RM was the first rapper on this track and you noticed Suga (Agust D for his solo work) and the last dancing in was J-Hope. The others are more complicated to describe: Jin is an Altotenor and you can hear it. Jimin is the one who can mistaken for a woman because of his countertenor voice. V is Bariton and usually sings best in the lower range (which does not mean he can't do the upper) and Jungkook is the one you will likely hear the most on a track - he was the first singer in Dynamite. This is a B-Side track of the "Love Yourself: Tear"- album - the second of 3 albums that make up the "Love Yourself"-storyline as a concept work from beginning to end. As the name suggest this is the album were the relationship breaks apart because the author has lost themselves to it and forgotten who they truly are by playing a perfect self to the other. So the song fits the theme - it is not directly part of the story. Enjoy BTS More may have a liveperformance with English subtitles. Thank you! Apobangpo!

7:53 It’s actually a flower. If you put all of BTS’s “Love Yourself” albums’ physical copies side by side, they all connect to make a flower. Also, each album version has a letter at the bottom, so when you collect all the versions of each physical album, it spells “Love Yourself.” Love Yourself: Her Love Yourself: Tear (the one you are looking at) Love Yourself: Answer The beautiful thing about these three albums is that they go through stages of love. Starting with “Her,” which represents the beginning stages of love, such as getting to know each other and feeling the absolute elation of the relationship. “Love Yourself: Tear” represents the questioning stage of love, wondering if it will really work, but it doesn’t. “Love Yourself: Answer” is where you finally accept that it would have never worked, and in the end, realize that you are the only one you can truly love, which is the answer you were searching for. And mind you, these are only three albums. All of BTS’s albums are just as deep, beautiful, and thoughtful as these three. If you want a more mental health/pandemic-based album, then you might like their “BE” album. If you prefer more philosophical/psychological albums, then check out their “MOTS” series albums. If you want a more religious/symbolic type of concept for an album, check out “Wings.” If you want more nostalgic and youthful albums, check out their “Most Beautiful Moment In Life” albums. I highly recommend them, as BTS will be re-exploring this type of concept in their reunion album in 2025. If you like dark and rebellious types of albums, then you have their early discography like “2 Cool 4 Skool,” “O!RUL8,2?,” and “Dark & Wild” albums. The best part about every single BTS album is that they all go through stages of life. Edit: I forgot to also add their album "Skool Luv Affair" for early discography.

Since you’re into jazz I highly recommend you explore V’s solo work. His album layover is amazing for jazz lovers, there is a really nice flute solo in Slow Dancing. And if you want to be really impressed with his voice I suggest the video “Le jazz de V” it’s a special performance video he made for fans where he performs a couple of jazzy songs (not originals) and his voice is chefs kiss

The song also refers to the Greek/roman god of hades/pluto. Specially with references to previous song in the album with the smeraldo story.

Really glad you enjoyed it! It's not the most bombastic song, but I thought it might be a fun one to start since it has those jazzy flutes. There are so many directions you could go next with them, I see a lot of suggestions for their more chill (mildly) jazzy music, and those are all good tracks! To go with a slightly different sound, a couple of my personal favourite recent songs are 'Dis-Ease' and 'Paradise', or if you want something completely different 'UGH' is a great song, but very hard-edged aggressive rap (not sure of your tastes). Or for one with a music video, try 'Black Swan'. Also one of the BTS members, V, did a Tiny Desk Concert last year with a live jazz band, so that might be a fun one.

Thank you for coming back around to BTS. 134340 is one of my favorites because of the metaphors and the Korean word play. It was on my mellow bouncy playlist for months, when I finally decided, before turning out the light, to check out the lyrics. It would only take five to ten minutes, and then my brain could turn off. Hours passed as I translated (I was just starting to learn Korean) and researched. Not just the lyrics, but also the sounds and effects with those lyrics.

I've seen several people recommend V's solo work as a jazz lover. I'd like to tack onto that the suggestion that you watch his Tiny Desk Korea. He's got a fabulous live band with a saxophone :)

V, one of the members, loves jazz and blues. His solo album, "Layover" has a very jazzy/bluesy feel. He also did a two song live recording called Le Jazz de V.

One if my favorites they really get into experimental and unique ideas for sings mixed with such fun music. Kicking Pluto out as a planet as an analogy for a breakup is just seriously clever, as they so often are.

Well I have to say I enjoyed that a whole lot more than I thought I would! I do have a pretty broad mind and tastes musically, and have really enjoyed a couple of BTS songs that have crossed my path, but would be more likely to listen to BTO than BTS, and yet again you brought something into my orbit (pun intended if not nailed) that I'm really enjoying but otherwise would have missed. The production is truly superb in this, makes my inner sound engineer/producer smile a great big smile!! With your intellect and jazz background (foreground?) I think you might get more out of this rather obscure track, 'Music and Politics' from a near-forgotten band, Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy than anyone else I can think of: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZO4ZIWAqbeoeLcsi=SzUr7YEaNyTB5K6M

If you like the film composer Hans Zimmer, I'd recommend Outro Tear by the 3 rappers of BTS. It's a hardcore rap song, but with a Hans Zimmer-esque production. Whalien 52 by BTS also gives me similar vibes as 134340. Unique production. Written based on the 52 Hertz whale. For more jazzy vibes, check out Still With You by their vocalist Jungkook. There are some BTS songs that use unique Korean traditional instruments in the production, which you wouldn't hear in western music: - Ddaeng by their 3 rappers - Haegeum by their rapper Agust D (he wrote, composed and produced it entirely by himself) I'd also recommend Snooze by their rapper Agust D, he asked the famous film music composer Ryuichi to help with the composition. Cinematic sounding rap song. For a rock-ish sound: - Run BTS (check out their dance practice vid for it released in 2022) - Dionysus - Intro Persona by their rapper RM (music vid is titled Comeback Trailer). For neo-soul BTS songs: - Singularity by their vocalist V (music video is titled Comeback Trailer) - Yun by their rapper RM (features the queen of neo-soul Erykah Badu). For old school funk, check out Ma City.

Also a few of the sexiest sounding BTS songs have to be: - House of Cards by their 4 vocalists - Pied Piper - Louder Than Bombs - Blood Sweat and Tears - Stigma by their vocalist V - Lie by their vocalist Jimin There are some sexy sounding mashups done by the channel Planetaerium, check out their videos: - Daddy Issues by the neighborhood x Pied Piper by BTS (slowed version) - 'who' by lauv & bts if it were on the 50 shades soundtrack

I hope you give light to BTS Bsides songs.. And in addition I hope you react to a lyric video next instead of just an audio then manually look for the lyrics. I am very happy that you are interested to them thus, i want to see how much you discover about their songs. Man, the diversity in BTS one must experience by themselves. Good luck!

i love this reaction so much please keep reacting to bts. so many get false info from media about them or see random lies online or maybe deal with a troll or 2 and write that off as the entire fanbase then uses that as a excuse to diminish the groups music and worth as artists and its so upsetting because bts are some of the best song writers of this generation majority of their songs are deep either like this metaphorical or deep topics even if straight forward or deep for the reason they made the song not the actual lyrics etc example dynamite isnt deep lyrically its fun happy bubbly etc but it was made to cheer up their fans and anyone who listened during the pandemic and has the ability to uplift anyone any time now that the pandemic is over. the song had a purpose even if not deep lyrically or complex musically. but people see boyband and kpop attached to their name with skewed views of kpop to begin with and write off bts as dynamite only like to expect only that sound and that theme of happy meaning, bright colors, cheerful production etc when bts have so much to offer lyrically, musically etc theres no music box the way artists fit in nice boxes in the west so rock groups and the sub genres, pop artists, hip hop artists and subgenres etc bts are labeled kpop, pop, hip hop, r&b etc and people think the first 2 are it. or theyre a pop spin on other genres but no they do each genre in full theyre not just taking elements. language isnt a genre but people label a hip hop song as kpop just cause its in korean when its not a pop song at all. etc please use zaty farhani, dial six one three seven or doolset website to see lyrics. lyrics are most important when it comes to bts as lyrics, production and chorography all fit to tell the story missing a piece you dont get the full story and in some cases visuals are also important to tell the story so music videos in some cases are very important too like bts spring day music video for example. every aspect of bts is art theyre not like western mainstream artists where you can ignore some elements maybe you just focus on the production or singing/rapping or just the visual aspect or just the live performance or just the lyrics but to fully "get" bts you need to have all aspects lyrics being number 1. hope this helps if you need any other info or any other clarifications let me know and ill explain better or add more etc :)
