Kind of disappointed you won’t be diving into some deeper cuts. Their lyrics and content for a lot of their music deserve the same respect that you give to Taylor swift, imo. Though good songs, the ones you picked aren’t a great overall representation of the group, and you never got to discuss Rm or Suga’s writing/producing abilities.

I’m sure someone will get overly defensive about this, but I will say I do wish the BTS song selections had been more….diverse? Don’t get me wrong I’m glad they checked them out at all (it feels like worlds colliding), but people usually ask someone to react to Spring Day because of the meaning behind the MV & that wasn’t explored here, and all of the other songs have been very pop-centric. The great thing about BTS’s discography is that it’s SO diverse and covers so many genres. I’m not sure how these songs are chosen - it feels like they were picked by a casual listener, but boy do I wish they got to experience some of BTS’s diversity because they really do have something for everyone.

But the ones chosen definitely seem like they were done so by someone who’s more of a casual listener because if you tell an Army they can only introduce someone to BTS through 5 songs, I feel like we’re gonna try to give them some variety. BTS has got a lot of flavor. It would’ve been nice to give them a little taste. A little sampler plate if you will - that’s all I’m saying.

They were definitely picked by someone withOUT an interest in (or knowledge of) who BTS is. It’s such a shame, because all that was done was solidify stereotypes and misunderstandings about BTS, rather than actually educating and passing along appreciation.

Agreed. I mean the songs they've reacted to are sort of like the "starter" bts songs that all channels react to. But since they had a small set number of vids they were willing to do at the moment, I would have appreciated some different picks. They do sing almost all of their stuff live. They have backtracks to sing over but this particular video has so little backtrack it makes it really impressive to hear their clear vocals over all that dancing. Given that kpop idols train to sing and dance at the same time but bts delivers stable live vocals almost always

I loved seeing you guys discover BTS, like a lot of people I wished the song choices were a bit more diverse because those are only their "pop" songs, though still good and loved, to only listen to them makes it harder to remember they are a group with mostly hiphop roots. And maybe it'd be more interesting to get quick context infos about the songs instead of numbers, like i don't think records and billboards mean a lot to ppl who don't esp care for them. I'm only saying this coz i'm hoping for a part 2, but even if we never get one, i'm so grateful we got this week anyway! You were so respectful and open, and vibing which is a plus!!

5 songs aren't enough to get the whole diversity of all BTS offers. You can't compare BTS to babymonster first off because BTS is 3rd gen and has a lot more songs and to be honest 5 songs of babymonster would = to 20-30 songs by BTS to make it truly fair. And boy groups and girl groups have always been different so you shouldn't limit each group to just 5 songs. You won't get the full flavor of the group with just 5 and the songs chosen seems more towards casual listening than ARMY listening You should really watch more songs for BTS like ON, Black Swan, Anpanman, We Are Bulletproof the Eternal, Pied Piper, Save Me, Wings, IDOL, DNA, and Magic Shop There are also vocal line songs Lost House of Cards The Truth Untold Dimple Zero o'clock Rap line songs All 4 Cypher Ugh Ddaeng So definitely come back to watch/listen to more BTS

I love your BTS reaction guys!! I do however agree with the other voices: if you wanted to actually get a good idea of who BTS are as artists, this is not a diverse enough selection of songs. These are great songs, don't get me wrong, but they don't accurately reflect their diversity in genre and their depth as artists. If you wanted to see more than good bops that cheer you up (nothing wrong with that), you should check out some of their grittier, more rap-heavy songs like "Ugh!", "Baepsae/Silver Spoon", "Outro: Tear".... also some of their masterpieces like Black Swan, Fake Love or I Need You. Or if you wanted to hear ballads where their lyrical abilities and vocals shine: The Truth Untold, Blue & Grey, House of Cards... I really hope you will check a few of these out even after BTS month is over, since I really like your videos and reactions! But i feel like this would do them better justice.

The song was made to be an universal cheer-up song, its by design. There's no "hate" for BTS' songs in English, only distaste for those who ignore other songs with much more artistic value because they are in Korean or aren't a light-hearted bop (which excludes most of their discography). It also strenghtens the perception of American media & audience that the whole world should cater to them to be successful, but that's what's wrong with the whole entertainment and not a hate to any random listener who's simply enjoying a fun song. To oversimplify the whole problem to "hate" is doing a disservice to the artists outside the USA.

There are Bangtan TV episodes that covers the behind the scenes of the music video and the Grammy performance. The performance was pre recorded for the Grammy's because of Covid, but their production team did that whole set to exactly replicate the set up of the Grammy stage and red carpet that was prepared for the LA broadcast.

I love that you guys reacted to BTS but the choice of songs could have been more diverse. It's a pity ya'll didn't do the MMA Dynamite stage, which is the one with the Michael Jackson-inspired dance break. Grammys is fine but I still have PTSD from the horrible treatment they gave BTS and the fans by holding the performance hostage to get ratings for the awards ceremony after they took off their category from the main show. Dynamite is such a fun song, but imo not even in the top 50 of their best songs. It's very American pop which is fine because they put their own flavor on it, which is why it's special but not really my jam.

Dynamite is a song they didn't change at all, the only BTS flare is the choreography and visual productions. They even said they didn't change any lyrics from the guide tract, which is exactly why the lyrics are more Gibberish than English.
