K-Pop music is not my kind of music, especially not the super poppy kind of music but Twice has something that always drag me to them...and they're genuinely funny and seems very nice and kind withe their fans and people around then so I don't have any motive to dislike them

I've like/love hundreds of pop songs, mostly 80s up through 2010s. Admittedly, much less numbers with each passing decade. I've heard a couple of Kpop songs in the past that I thought were decent. I don't get the appeal of this song in either meaning or sound. I have no problem overlooking a song with no substance as far as what it says, but it must at least sound good. IMO, this song is just very monotone/repetitive/boring.

Blind Wave needs to attend a Twice concert. Whatever expectations you would have before attending one, those expectations will be blown out of the water. Their concert encore performances last over an hour. They are so hard working

Since everyone seems to be more familiar with Blackpink, I thought I'd mention that Lisa is friends with Mina and Jihyo irl, and has been seen going to TWICE concerts in support. (She's also besties with Minnie from (G)I-DLE - who also is in the Mina/Jihyo/Lisa friend group, but that's a story for another time). Given they all are megastars in Asia it's rare if you ever seem them all together, but apparently they secretly meet from time to time and fans only hear about it after the fact.

It's cool to note originally dance practices were filmed to give to broadcasting stations. It was a way to show what the choreo looked like so the show could plan how to film it. Then some groups started posting them for fans. Notably a group called ShinEE released one that ended up going viral because they were so sharp and synchronized. Also because a member was wearing a stripy shirt that looked super trippy because cameras were still not great. Then dance practices became a trend and now have become just a staple. To the point we get these fun different versions or sometimes a lot of pressure can be put on having a flawless dance practice and some actually get super high quality basically like a music video itself. Dance practices have now become this unique part of Kpop culture
