Fun story from Armys. There was an Army who visited Korea and saw trash burning outside a restaurant. Said Army does not speak Korean at all, but because of this song knew that the Korean word for Fire is: bultaoreune. So to get the attention of the restaurant workers, she kept on pointing and saying Bultaoreune until the restaurant owner saw and put out the fire. 😊

There was another story where an int'l army was in a Korean restaurant and the food was not heated so she called waiter and asked him to heat the food again but the waiter couldn't understand so she literally sang bultaoreune and then that's when the waiter understood. It was May 20, 2018 when I first saw BTS at the Bill Board Awards and wondered who they were so I started to research information about them and when I heard the song that made me Army is “Fire”. To answer your question at the end. "Boy Meets What." You were correct, the first time you saw the phrase was in another video and it just said: "Boy Meets." And then continued in this video with "Boy Meets What." It was leading up to a song called "Boy Meets Evil." It was J Hope's first solo project. It is an amazing video, where Hobi's dancing skills are center stage. No pun intended. It is connected to the storyline, but mostly connected to "Blood, Sweat, and Tears." You should put "Boy Meets Evil" on ur list to react to...I know your list is growing every day. But please remember some of us have been with them since the beginning and others not so long. And since there is a lot of content, we just want to make sure u are all caught up on the important points. If it helps I've been ARMY since 2016, and it still took me a lot of time to catch up...but the best part about trying to catch up on their content...you get to know the guys and have amazing conversations with other ARMY that wants to help u out... good luck and can't wait for your next reaction...

8:22 The spoon is a reference to the Korean spoon class theory where people are divided into various socio economic classes such as golden spoon, silver spoon, bronze spoon, dirt spoon etc. They make a reference to this in Mic Drop also. The lyrics basically imply that BTS, coming from a small agency in an industry that is dominated by bigger agencies, was looked down upon because of their lower socio economic class. The spoon line is a call back to another song called Baepsae/Silver Spoon. It refers to "spoon theory", which is the idea that a person's socioeconomic status and success in life is determined by the socioeconomic status of their parents. So by saying "don't call me a spoon. I'm just a human", BTS are saying "don't tell me that I can't be successful bc I didn't come from wealth/don't tell me my worth is determined by my socioeconomic status".

One thing about bts “eras” is that they relate to the point they are in their lives. Their albums are like handbooks of the tribulations we face growing up. With no more dream and their early work it was more of a school concept and what students have to deal with, young love and school and parent/society pressures. With this, its more coming of age, you know late teenage years, make all of your mistakes cause you’re still young and all that. Next you’ll see the eras are all about youth problems, depression, temptation, navigating good and evil as you grow older. Then came love. Losing one self to love and finding oneself again, self love. Then navigating yourself, discovering your inner demons and accepting them(mots). Anyway this is my absolute favourite thing to talk about😂

Ran across BTS at the MMA 2016 live show in the middle of the night. Their stage was unbelievable. Their set of flames came out of the floor of the stage. I couldn't take my eyes off them. I'd never seen such precise singing dancing rapping, performance before. Then I just wanted to know their names. Now, 6 years later, I'm still with them. Yesterday I watched their medley live at the Tokyo dome, and it felt like I was there, that’s how mesmerising it was. This song really is just straight forward, it is one that doesn't have a deeper hidden meaning than you're young, enjoy your youth, you'll make mistakes, but just be you and live your life. Don't try so hard, it's okay to make mistakes and learn as you grow. Korean youth are pushed unbelievablely hard by their parents to study, make good grades, get into college, study even harder, and get a good paying job. Most Korean students are studying and going to school really all the time. Even high schoolers will have study sessions till midnight, and go home sleep, and get up to go to school all over again in the morning ,and after school have more tutoring and study sessions. They may have an or two here or there to see their family and friends, but their futures are often mapped out for them at an early age and, they are pushed really hard to study and become doctors, lawyers, etc. Their parents want them to be successful, and believe studying all the time is the way to accomplish success. So basically this is BTS telling the younger generation to enjoy their youth because it doesn't last long and don't put so much pressure on yourself. Burn up your youth, set it on fire so that one day when your older you won't look back and regret things because you missed out or didn't do the things you wanted to or enjoyed because you were trying to please other people.

I think the "BOY MEETS WHAT" thing was meant to be a clue for their future project titled "WINGS". It was their second longplay and the intro song for that was "Boy Meets Evil" performed solo by j-hope. "Boy Meets What" is not only a teaser of their next project but also takes on a whole extra meaning because of their next four albums: *W* - Wings, 2016 (the japanese versions were on the album Face Yourself, hence part of the LY albums) *H* - (Love Yourself:) Her, 2017 *A* - (Love Yourself:) Answer, August 2018 *T* - (Love Yourself:) Tear, May 2018 They clearly had the concept for this entire era planned out way in advance. I think it’s important for you guys to remember that these albums are done in concepts… like the clothes and hair styling stuff isn’t always bc it directly relates to that member or something… the clothes and hair are all a part of the concept of the song… and the concept in the album… this is why we always ask for a live stage… it makes things more complete once you see the full package of the song… like for fire… since you only saw part of the dance.. then you’re missing all the energy and symbolism of the dance and how it’s done. They make music that they can relate to.. but also music that people just their age can relate to. They’re not dressing themselves in these things and you just have to forget everything you know about music and how it’s made… even being made by yourself. Like they show the themes of the song bc the message in the styling… the hair colors and stuff is just K-pop… it doesn’t really have anything to do with the music personally… just some of them like to stand out that way with their hair… but different hair colors is how Korean popular artists are styled… but it doesn’t always directly relate ti the members personally if they’re doing a broad theme for ppl their age. Like thinking Jin’s wearing pink bc he likes the color… that’s not how it works really… they often are styled in ways they hate lol but it’s part of the concept… and that aspect they don’t tend to control very much of… especially not back then. Same kinda goes for the music…. Like the music matches the theme and vibe of the song… ya know… if that makes sense. BTS is constantly evolving.. bc they’re constantly growing up lol they’ve got like over 250 songs as a group … just I’m hoping you’ll watch the live stages or the dance practice with the mv…. It will make your experience so much better and so much better for us as well.

As you watched the fire mv, it's a must to do a reaction to the dance practice and mma 2016.. If you watch the dance practice, then you can clearly see the footwork and it's one of the hardest bts choreography

You guys should really watch the live concert performances for each new song you hear! The personal interaction you get from them during their concerts brings life to the songs and is a really what BTS is all about. And you see so much of their personality developement as they perform these songs from each era. It's as important if not more so than the MV experience.

the "boy meets what" is also at the end of the save me mv !! it was a hint for j-hope's intro to their next album wings, it's called "boy meets evil",,, it's so good, i recommend you watch it after this 💜(he also performed it on mama 2016 along with jimin, it's one of their most iconic performances 😊)

Fire ends with Boy Meets What and it was their title track to their album "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever". Save Me is the second music video for that same album and it ends with Boy Meets ____. The reason for that is because the album that comes after called "WINGS" has an intro song called "Intro: Boy Meets Evil". Basically they were teasing their next album with these two music videos. Its the album that has Blood Sweat & Tears as its title track.
