*Ledge drop, down air* up the stage is tricky unless you use a shoulder button to jump. While hanging, the inputs are *down, jump, c-stick down, left.* If your second input isn't JUMP then you do an immediate fast fall into the blast zone. I see Kola fail this maneuver all the time in tournaments and it's the reason I use a shoulder button as an extra jump option.

Agreed. The more Ultimate goes on, more players keep picking Aegis. It's getting super boring to see the same OP character dominating tournament placements. What happened to playing characters you simply enjoy in the "most balanced Smash game" ever? If Ultimate was truly as balanced, I shouldn't be seeing everyone playing (or even thinking about playing) Aegis. We clearly need some more nerfs to negate this (like, ACTUAL heavy nerfs), but Nintendo doesn't seem to care enough. I seriously thought people were learning the Aegis match-up, but NOPE everyone's using them, now. Even players in my region are dropping their mains for Aegis. It's looking very ugly, and foresight isn't even optimized yet.

I think Roy doesn't lose that bad to the Aegis. Or to anyone, actually. Too fast and too powerful to be worse than -1, no matter who's he versing imo. I wonder why he didn't go Cloud, but he won, so I guess it doesn't matter much

roy has bad match ups, but i think that aegis is even, roy is like combination of both without foresight. aegis is easier to edge guard than roy, roy has better ledge trap, but in juggle aegis are better than roy. so it's even for me. Sorry for my english

@@williamsgarzag You're english is fine 🙂. I see your points. But playing both characters, I feel like Mythra combo him a bit too much and beat him in neutral. She's faster and has better range than Roy, and she can edge guard him as easily as he can edge guard her. I think Pyra loses to Roy though, but her range can be problematic for him. Slight win for Aegis if they win the matchup though, maybe it's even like you think. Kola think the matchup is terrible for Roy iIrc, but he won so maybe he's overrating how bad the matchup could be

Pyra having safe aerials has good to be the funniest piece of anti-Aegis propaganda from commentary. N-air is -11, D-air and F-air are -9 each. Up-air is the only safe one at -4 but isn't practical. Stop spreading misinformation. And her aerials killing you from anywhere is a close second. Up-air only kills up high at 120-130, same for N-air. D-air in the air will kill around 150-160, forward air only kills off the side and even then only at 110-120, very normal kill percents. And shout outs to Kola for calling out Kazuya being the biggest BS character of fighters pass 2

I played Roy for 10 months and man this mu is so bad, you barley get the chance to win neutral because Mythra feels like she does everything better than you, you also can’t get as much as you usually want from advantage. Also Roy is like the ideal height and weight for Mythra to combo.

@@cspt4034 ive mained chrom since day 1 and roy as well for a year now, its not that bad. The bad part is losing neutral and getting edgeguarded. On stage you can absolutely keep up with mythra and space her, and youre just faster than pyra, pyra disadvantage is awful and whoever goes pyra against chroy should be punished no question. Its people being too scared to push advantage and challenge the character(in a smart way not wreckless) its a slight loss for chroy because you get blown up too bad for losing neutral and they can edgeguard us where we cant edgeguard them, but it is absolutely winnable.

Cosmos literally died at like 60 multiple times this set. Also roy combos aegis just as well. Im not even saying roy doesnt lose its just not that bad
