I speak the truth. Being a step dad is just a way of saying you got your life in order but in reality you don’t. I was so dumb and fucked one for 5 years. Mine was cool and all but that bitch always asked for money. Now she’s with a new dude who’s so obsessed with her. She has 4 kids and fuck that is soooo shot because they’re still 4 and 6 and the other 2 are 16 and 18. They still ask for money and when I’m not even with her they insist to ask me for money. Fuck it’s so annoying because I know that I can tell right now those kids have no future because they’re setup for failure. No jobs, and the 2 older ones are literally repeating grade 10 and 11. I just miss the sex but nothing else. Do you guys think the new man is gonna last or jump ship?

I once dated a single mother whose baby daddy had THREE other kids from THREE different women (making her baby momma #4). She dated this guy for over a year before she was knocked up. She knew about his reputation, even having little get-togethers with the other baby mommas and their children from time to time. So the evidence was presented before her. And yet, she still dated him and allowed herself to become pregnant. In the end, she refused to take ownership for her own actions and found it easier to blame him for being a master manipulator with a silver tongue. This when I started to become red pilled.
@thebrowithnoname17035 жыл бұрын
Exactly: It’s scary to think about. Luckily, I was only with her for 6 months. What gets me is that a lot of these women have a backwards way of thinking. Instead of viewing this dirtbag with multiple kids as a major red flag, it’s like they think, “Oh. He must know what he’s doing” kind of mentality.

Dated a single mother for a few years. She was TOTALLY emotionally unavailable. used our relationship like an escape from her stressful life as a broke single mother. when things got more serious she pulled the old "I'm looking for love" break up line even though we were starting to cuddle at night. tried to get her back but she became an ice queen. I did develop a heart for her son too, but she didn't want me around him too much probably because she had future plans to find a provider and I wasn't it. more hypergamous than regular women because they have a child to feed. like blatantly so. totally focused on finding a man with a good job to provide

And I would tell her not to burn bridges and try and leave on good terms...nope she blew up each of her exits from the jobs so there would be no chance of going back to it. Funny you should mention: I dated a single mom years ago. I discovered over time that she was the Queen of drama and poor choices; given a smart choice or the destructive choice, she would choose the destructive and thus LEAST effective choice EVERY time. Once I saw the pattern, I had to go and when I broke up with her, to your point, I actually told her that “while I cannot tell you what to do or criticize your choices, I cannot support the choices you are making and I have to go.” One crocodile tear fell and that was that.

Those who criticize and become angry at individuals and their opinions have a lot of wounds to heal. No way should we allow others to make us feel bad about ourselves. Don’t let the negativity or abuse into your being. I have had two extremely abusive relationships, starting when I was 16 through to my late 40’s and a number of failed attempts elsewhere. I finally figured out that it was me and only me that kept me feeling sad and hurt about theses situations. Never have I, when going through this transformation, have I ever hated men as there are many wonderful men in my life that are not romantic. Dad, brother, uncles, coworkers and friends. This is a great and valuable show. I liked Shawn pointing out here that some women do in fact take ownership of their problems, and agreed there is some self-selection going on - anyone who winds in theory usually is there because they acknowledge at least to some degree that they need to do something different. I also agree with Rich that many women with problems who have not yet gone to therapy do not in fact own their problems, which IS the problem - denial isn't just a river in Egypt. Same story applies equally to men.

No one wants them there after that age like no one wants holiday food after the holiday. Would you rather eat a soft moist cake or a dry crusty one. Would you buy an off brand 30+ year old rusty beater car for $500,000 or more? Men are like wine they get better with age. Women are like cheese they get stinkier and moldier. Love is just a chemical addictions that fades over time. The older a woman gets the crazier they get.

She cheated on me with her ex husband, was a compulsive liar about everything. She was a alcoholic who told me she would quit for me. She didn't, just got better at hiding it. I don't have any kids. I left her because of her lying. She couldn't even remember what story she told me. And when she would tell a story they were so off the wall it wasn't even believable. She blocked me on social media before we split for almost a year. We would take trips together with the kids and post about her trips with her kids like i wasnt ever there. When I walked away from that train wreck, She had a new boyfriend within a week in a half. Then unblocked me so i could see how happy she was. I found out about her lies of stopping drinking through social media. Probably a rebound. He's got 2 kids and divorced. I dodged a bullet, but recovering has been difficult because I lost 2 kids I loved and a dog. Heartbreak 400 %

So many friends of mine get pisssseeeddd when i share videos like these etc. They are all dating crazy single moms with multiple kids out of wedlock. My friend is 29, environmental engineering grad 4.0, but he is getting played by a 23 year old with 3 kids to different men. He calls me asking for advice saying," i hate to say it but you are right usually". She sends him snapchats where you can see bum looking black men in the background of the snaps. Arms etc.

My dad was dating a women who was a terrible person and I couldn't figure out how well her kids turned out. Their dad seemed cool but I think it was their stepmom that really helped raise them to be good people. Just my two cents on positive stepmoms.

Food for thought... it's not your place to discipline or have any authority over anyones kids. That's a surefire way to land in hot water. The children already have a father, and unless she's willing to give him sole custody to pursue a relationship with you, steer clear. I'm a single dad with 50/50 custody and wouldn't tolerate anyone having the audacity to think they have the slightest authority over my kids. No way in hell.

That John Alba guy kinda upset me. I'm not a single mother but I've dated single dads before and some of them also got some massive entitlement issues. That's not just a single mom issue but a lot of these issues spoken of in the video can apply to single fathers as well (with a few differences here and there). This kind of advice helps me as a single child free woman navigate the dating pool now that I'm in my 30s and there's more bachelors who are single dads.

The fact that she is a single mom, with a kid from another MAN. That in itself, is enough for me to never engage with one. Needless to say date one

As for the Aussie guy if you dont want out of the relationship you will have to face up to the reality that you will never be 1st priority to a parent. Single Mother or single Father a good one should have their kids as the main priority.

I don't we are talking about co-parents here. A true co-parent keeps a clear boundary between kids and boyfriends/girlfriends.

Context matters and $1,000 more in disposable income is a lot different than $1,000 more of income because they may not have the same set of expenses in their budget

I've been watching a lot of these videos and am wondering if there has ever been an episode about dating single moms coming from the child's perspective and how to get over any ambivalent feelings that come up when a guy starts trying to date your mom. In my case I watched my dad walk out on my family and within a week, one of his buddies came over sniffing around. I would love to hear Rich and Sean's opinion on the matter.

oof when that guest guy, not Rich, said no one has said their stepmom really made a difference in their life, that fucking hit as I am a stepmom, or attempting to be lol it's a fucking trip.... though I might be running for the hills, it really shows how stepmoms have it even worse possibly than stepdads, isn't that telling? lol because of how single dads treat stepmoms vs single mommies and the stepdads.

Last single mother I dated had three kids to three different dads I met her when she was pregnant wanting so much to be a father I was accused of always cheating always put down put up with so much emotional abuse it was out of control to the point where I thought I needed to change and almost every issue was my fough, we broke t want so far as to go to church counseling everything I could to fix myself because I wanted to be father to that little girl we got back together she knew how much I love those kids and especially the youngest used it to her advantage treated me like absolute dirt I gave up everything I loved in the end she walked out but with time I realized it was the best thing that ever happened she was always looking for better never took herself off ok cupid the whole time together the second time around made comments how she could be with others but was with me. This was the second single mother and both times I was treated like crap and told why cant you just be a number..I was never a priority just a convenience . BEST THING BOTH EVER DID WAS WALKOUT .THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO GET ME TO WHEN I DIDNT WALK THEY DID AND JUST LOOKED FOR ANYTHING THEY COULD TO JUSTIFY IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO IN THEIR MINDS.

Currently dating a single mom. Started out great. But now all the red flags are showing. She lied about how she wasnt looking for a baby daddy. Now its fucking clear that's what she wants. She expects me to move in with her in a period of 2 months or so with virtually no planning. Which is ridiculous. I'm also not for it as I'm transitioning jobs for much higher pay. But if I say anything shell use her kid against me. As I love her kid, but i know it's not my kid. Not my kid, not my responsibility, she keeps trying to shove it on me. But I ain't having it. I honestly wish I stayed just fucking single moms and keeping relationships with women who don't have children. End of rant Cheers

Is it normal for SM’s to wanna rush commitment super fast? Ex was single mom and was pushing marriage and for me to move in 5 months in while also wanting another kid. Dumped her a couple months later. 3 months after we separated she’s getting engaged to another dude lol 😂 thank god I found trp and I saved my own ass even being blue-pilled at the time
