I remember as a kid seeing this game actually on display at a video game store. You could try it out, and right away me and all my friends agreed this game had the worst controls we had ever experienced in any video game, and I played Superman 64! If anyone ever decided to make a Golden Raspberries equivalent to the Video Game Awards, I suggest calling them the "Golden X Awards" because the only game that ever won EGM's Golden X award (according to itself) is Bubsy 3D.

I finished it years ago and it is not really difficulty, besides two or three puzzles. It is very slow paced so jumping is not an issue. The biggest issue is that you have to explore a lot to find every piece in every level, like Super Mario 64, but in a bad way.

I never played this monstrosity, but I actually didn't mind the first two Bubsy games for the SNES and Genesis. Bubsy 1 was fine. I didn't like Bubsy 2, tho. For every step forward that game took, it takes two backwards. I *_like_* that you can now a couple hits before dying and you can collect bandages to restore your health, but the level designs are still a jumbled mess. I *_like_* that you have two different paths to choose from; East Wing & West Wing, but it ultimately doesn't matter.

Bubsy also ran single-buffered because it ran at such a high resolution. They'd run out of VRAM otherwise. I watched an interview with Rob White-one of the people who worked on this game. He said that it was going to come out for not just the PlayStation, but also the Sega Saturn, Sega 32X, and EVEN The Atari Jaguar! Yes-eveen the Atari Jaguar! A forumite at AtariAge remarked that it’s like you’re celebrating that you have herpes, and not AIDS. There was even plans for a strategy guide for Bubsy 3D; published by Dimension Publishing-the same people who made strategy guides for Metal Gear Solid. However, after this game tanked SO hard, plans for them were cancelled. This game was so infamous that it managed to be a part of SeanBaby’s EGM Crapstravaganza: The Top 20 Worst Games Ever Made. With SilentRob talking about this game, everybody else decided to join on-board, COMPLETELY destroying it’s reputation. And personally, it deserves it.
