ulillillia's comments on the audio: "The commentary is on the right channel so adjust the balance to favor that. It's how my old videos with commentary were set up and it's a way to provide customizability. I did lower the game volume by 2 dB and tested how it is with my head being equidistant from my speakers. Game audio on the left, commentary on the right. With simple balance adjustment, you can amplify one side and deamplify the other. If I want to hear the commentary, I just move my head closer to the right speaker and farther from the left (or I can also just adjust the volume on my hardware equalizer)."

Finally a TAD with audio that I can customize by moving my left and right speakers depending on what I want to hear the most at that moment

Nice to hear new commentary video

God, I wish the audio was normalized and mono. The super loud game sound in left is pain

Oh man that sound mixing is rough

unfortunately, he does this on purpose. if you adjust your speakers to dedicate audio completely to the right 'speaker', you will hear him crystal clear. A bit annoying to hafta remember to do that each time I watch a video with commentary; but as someone who is hard of hearing, it actually is kinda nice to be able to hear the voice completely absent of noise.

@@MrValsung The narration is the same volume on both channels though

@@MrValsungwhen did he start doing that?
@UlillilliaArchive Жыл бұрын
@@SECONDQUEST he has been doing it since day one, if you aren't hearing the audio separated between channels it must be something on your end. For example, his Ultima Exodus walkthrough from 2007 was like this and as far as I can remember, every other commentary video since has been too. It is definitely an issue for people watching on mobile devices etc. who either can't or don't know how to adjust the audio balance, but that's just how he likes to do it.

@@UlillilliaArchive Thanks for making me check, turns out my computer was set up to mix both channels to mono for some reason

I hope he makes a TAD of Baricanna once he's finished it.

it would have to be on Linux to do that because that’s the only place libTAS exists

Why does ulillillia have a fixation on speed? I noticed this is a common interest of his in games
