@BuchingerWilhelmiFasting3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot for your kind feedback! At the Buchinger Wilhelmi clinics, the main focus of our expertise and studies is on long-term fasting (5, 10, 15, 20 days or more). The key mechanism of our fasting method is the metabolic switch from absorbing glucose supplied by food intake to utilizing ketones and the body’s own fat deposits. This switch goes hand in hand with a change in the genetic programme of humans: If there is no food intake for more than 12-16 hours, genetic signaling pathways are either deactivated or activated to trigger fasting mode.

@BuchingerWilhelmiFasting3 жыл бұрын
Hello Susanne, whether you can or should fast depends on more determinants than just age alone e.g. previous diseases, general state of health, etc. We do not recommend young adults under the age of 18 to fast. For the elderly, a calorie restricted diet may be a good alternative to fasting. Please keep in mind that a medical practitioner experienced with fasting should always be consulted when determining the kind and length of a fast. Take care!

My take on the video title was “what happens during fast” as in what happens to the body during the fast. Not what necessarily is happing in the protocol or at their location. Perhaps you’ll find that in another video.

Why is it necessary to empty the intestine if you’re going to fast ?
@BuchingerWilhelmiFasting2 жыл бұрын
By emptying the bowels, fewer toxins are absorbed from the intestines. The risk of suffering from headaches decreases and the feeling of hunger is also satisfied by the emptied intestine. The reason for this is that during fasting, the stomach does not send signals to the intestines to empty, because it is no longer filled.

@Jessica Salvatore Jessica my sister, I'm 51years and I have nothing to gain by cheating you. Breakfast, delay it to 10am or better 12 noon. Let your last meal of the day be at 5p.m. latest 6p.m. Eat whole foods. Remove sugar and refined foods from your diet. Use green tea, ginger, cardamom for night drinks. Olive oil should be used.use vinegar in your water, mixed with lemon first thing in the morning . Do some ten minute walk every night before sleep. This is a 16:8 intermittent fasting protocol. If you sleep every night with some hunger pangs your overall health will improve drastically. If you follow this simple practices your body system will hate bad food and demand good healthy food and you'll have self-control. By the way I used to have a big belly fat and now it's gone. Self-discipline is very important. Try all this and make it your lifestyle. Any further questions about it I will try to help.
