"I validate myself" -- That's 100% it. I went through my process. I validated myself through my transition. I have a mental health condition that working with therapists and doctors led to medically transitioning 21+ years ago and, for me, it worked. I've seen dozens of others try to transition and it have terrible effects on their lives. I live as close as female as I can, knowing that I'm a biological male and always will be. I don't need validation from others. It's my mental health condition. I respect others and, based on my own actions, I simply ask the same in return.

Older TS voices are important and needed. It was Buck, along with a few other TS’s and detransitioners, who helped me realize I’m not trans….I needed a few months of angry rumination to realize they were all right.

I have treated over 100 patients before, during and after their transition (as an acupuncturist) and I can think of one that seemed in better mental health as a result. It's not scientific, but it's my experience that they get excited planning the transition and feel happier due to that, but there is not overall improvement in their mental health in the long run.

It's very interesting as normally they measure regret by asking them if it was the right decision, but it would make far more sense to see how they are doing as a whole. That's sad for your patients.

A large part of tr activists are people who do not get attention, respect in their lives and therefore so-called. become tr, because having a tra card these days you can allow yourself essentially any behavior with impunity and even be admired in a certain circle. Everything is too absolutist. On the point of not telling parents about a child's dysphoria I can understand why some parents must not know. That doesn't mean only one teacher should know. In the case of a violent household then all teaching staff should know so for safeguarding on all sides.

GC is essentially a women's movement (nothing wrong with that) and not even particularly gay-friendly (not that it has to be). The sub-communities are too different to make one united community a realistic or worthwhile goal. Perhaps Mr Angel could thrive in a homonormative space but most trans people need transnormative spaces and the problem is that pro-trans advocates want to make the whole community into one huge transnormative space. Far better to split; we can visit each other much more happily if we get to go home afterwards.

If Buck DOES accept (correct, evidence-based) she/her pronouns, that's a VERY recent change; For years, til as recent as just a few months ago, Buck was saying that it was "hateful" and "disrespectful", and you were "a troll", even if you spoke in the most normal, respectful way, but addressd Buck with sex-correct pronouns. But I'm skeptical, because even back then, Buck always did this weird dance, of saying "Of course you CAN call me she... I'm not DEMANDING male pronouns, like Dylan Mulvany, or that cafe mtf, or all the gender ideology types!!!" ...except, Buck was doing EXACTLY the same thing as the average "woke" Tiktok trans, who Buck acts so superior to; She was -demanding- "requesting" wrong-sex pronouns... And if you don't submit to that -demand- "request", then Buck calls you "hateful" and "a troll", and blocks you; So how is that ANY different to how the wokest xey/xem responds on Twitter, to anyone who refers to them with correct, sex-based pronouns? I hope she HAS changed that stuff, in the last few months, because that totally contradicted her usual, libertarian attitude. But whether the change IS oe ISN'T real, up til earlier this year, Buck was being JUST as authoritrian, and JUST as entitled to try to control the speech of others, as any "woke' trans...

I respect how much Buck has spoken out on the "trans kids" stuff, and other issues, and she genuinely seems like decent person. But she's also a GIANT, BLATANT hypocrite. Buck's latest video is a prime example; In it, she comes across an ftm, saying she still identifies as "lesbian". So Buck goes into this big rant. Saying that you CAN'T just "identify as a lesbian" if you're (in Bucks opinion) "a man", because "the word lesbian MEANS Something!! Lesbian is a definition, based on FACTS" (if that's not a direct quote, it's damn close) Then Buck makes a comparison- What if Buck claimed to "identify as a black person"? Buck says that a white person CAN'T just "identify as black", coz that label of "black" MEANS something!! Its a definition based on FACTS!!! But.. how the hell is it ANY different, for an adult human female to "identify as a man"?!? Does "man" NOT mean something? Buck herself says that "man" is defined as adult human male- Is that NOT a definition based in fact?!? And, transfer ANY of the standard excuses that Buck always makes, onto Mr Lesbian, and Buck will dismiss them in a heartbeat.... Say a biological man (a "cis" man, even) "identifies as a lesbian"; Does that suddenly become acceptable, if he genuinely has dysphoria? What if he ADMITS that technically he's a man, and has male anatomy- So NOW it becomes okay he "identifies as a lesbian"?!? What if he admits that he's not a REAL lesbian, but merely a "TRANS lesbian"?!? What if he's a genuinely decent, nice, woman-respecting person; Does THAT somehow mean he can declare himself a "lesbian", in defiance of evidence-based truth?!? Buck (correctly) rejects ALL these excuses, if used by a "male lesbian" or "Non-binary"... But somehow they become super-duper legit, when BUCK uses them? Buck's "man" (or even "trans man"), "he/him" status has EXACTLY THE SAME, 100% PERFECTLY IDENTICAL ultimate foundation, as the "lesbian" status of a man, or the "Non-binary" staus, of ANYONE claiming that label- Ultimately, those claims ALL have exactly ZERO basis in evidence, and ultimately boil down to just "but it FEELS true, to me!!" If we DO accept Buck as a "he/him" and a "man" (with OR without the "trans" prefix, which doesn't really change anything)... then, on what basis could we possibly reject the claims of the "male lesbian", or "non-binary"? If "but I FEEL like [x]" is valid for Buck, then it's valid for EVERYONE.. And if "but I FEEL like a lesbian" ISN'T valid for a biological man... the "but I FEEL like a man" ISN'T valid for an adult human female, like Buck, either.. Don't get me wrong- Buck is much less obnoxious than most of gender cult, and should be 100% free to dress and act as she pleases. Even if she wants to alter her own body, I accept that's her right.. but in the end, Buck is EXACTLY as irrational, and doing the exact same thing, as the "male lesbian", and the "non-binary" By accepting Buck as a "he/him", and Blair as a "she", etc, you are now FORCED (assuming you care about honesty/consistncy) into accepting "male lesbians", "non-binary", and the rest of the clownshow.... Coz if "but I FEEL like [x]" is valid for Buck, then it MUST be valid, for ANYONE to "identify as" ANY thing they choose... You can't have one rule for Buck and Blair... But then DIFFERENT rules for all the "trans"-IDing people who you DON'T like...
