@@virtuosa69 he meant the word geriatric to describe the relationship between a mother and lifecycle of her children. If you have a child when you’re 40, you are a 60 year old with a 20 year old child. The age divide is geriatric. The lack of energy for your children is geriatric. You will see your children marry when you’re 70 or if they marry late too or have children late, then it’s 80. Yikes!! Having children is not just about the now, it’s about 60 something years of real life. Motherhood or fatherhood doesn’t stop when your child turns 18 right? We make it harder on ourselves by having children late. There are few who’ve turned out ok. But vast majority struggle in their later years. We think it’ll all be fine, this is a modern world now - and then we get to 70 and wonder what we were thinking. Yes it’s geriatric overall.

@@natashamargaritis1043 Humans having children later will within a few generations alter our genes so that we live longer and go into puberty later, as it should be. She's now 53, looks 43, and still has a youthful body. Her daughter is currently playing with a national volleyball league for teens. just a comment on what Piers said around 27:55. I was diagnosed in my 30's with major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder and ocd. I have always held a job and have never applied for any kind of social services, although I would have more than qualified. I have been blessed with wonderful doctors and understanding family and friends. I have lived and still am living a full and wonderful life. I still struggle at times, but through faith in God I am happy. There is more to it than to give financial support to allow someone to stay at home and not work. The self respect and involvement with other people through having a job or volunteering in the community is a much better than to sit at home.

@bsv103Ай бұрын
@fengar4551 There's that factor, but there's also mental capacity and self-awareness of genetic conditions that a given person might not want to see propagate down a line of offspring. There are probably other factors to consider as well, but those are the ones I can think of right now.
