I like that you leave the problem solving bits in. That's the fun stuff. I watched a video of yours where you were rigging and lowering chunks with just a rope. Tried it out for myself tonight on a very large limb using my pole saw and one rope. Worked like a charm and was fun as heck too. :D

Hello Billy! Thanks for the vids. I'm down here in Oregon, but I do admire the country and the folks where you abide. I would've moved up there or elsewhere along the coast of BC long ago, but the wife objects and you know how that goes. I cut timber, climbed and rigged in the Cascades and the Coast Range for many years until the market went south back in '82. I used to run those Macs that you're so fond of. I purchased the 2nd Husky CD 1100 that hit the coast back in '74. They didn't have a wrap around handle, falling dogs or sights, but we loved the six cubes and the fact you could take them apart with one Allen wrench, and that they kept running and you didn't have to take them to the saw shop every week like the Macs and Homelites. I'm still climbing at 80 years and taking down problem trees on my own properties. I love being in a tree. Question: On this heart rot clearing job, did the whole lot of wood go to firewood? Thanks again for the vid...

I've been watching you since this summer. I've done firewood most of my life, but I have a small stand of pines I want to log so I started watching you just to get some tips and see if I was doing things right since I'm mostly self taught. I felt better about how I've been taking down trees after watching you, at least I was on the right path. I have picked up some good tips which should help me be better at it. When I finish working on my tractor I can put What I learned to use. What I didn't plan on was how entertaining your videos would be. I got hooked and I'm watching you every day. I really like seeing you help your boy and I can see how much better he has gotten. Thank you for such good videos even for someone like myself who isn't a pro.
