Laying on your back under a truck bolting those crossmember bolts in or out is pain. I did a full frame, then suspension swap in my driveway by myself. Truck is 82 swb c10 swapped to a dually. Has a Dana 70hd rear end.

Glad to see someone else I follow on KZbin endorsing that sweet patina paint. I was going to buy some any day now to do my frame in sections and also to use when I cut my lower control arms. Do you use a wire wheel and stuff to get things really cleaned up good before you put it on?or does it work fairly good without a ton of prep? I guess you did say there is a video about that down in the description. I will go watch that video after this one.

I’m not sure if I will have everything off the frame at the same time, but even if I don’t, I want to paint what is exposed while I’m in there.

That’s what I used. The rear end also bolted right up. But this is a gmc so it has leaf springs already

hey guy Im in SASKATOON, contemplating buying a running driving C20, 1968 camper special BIGGEST PROBLEM is it has 4.56 reargears and will barely do a 100km/h cuz its screaming at about 4000rpm SO far amigos the biggest wrecker nearby has nothing that will bolt in Got any ideas what will fit and where i can get one with 3.08-3.73 ish gears?

Maybe look into a different transmission. Maybe a nv3500 or t5. Or possibly a 700r4 if automatic. But you maybe luck out and find a rear end out of a c10 63-72

@@Metal_Massacre_Fab_Shop Yeah im told a T5 from S10 will swap in but you need to get a diff input shaft and trim its length then probly get a custom driveshaft length too. Considered the 700R4 too but will it bolt up to stock 327, probly but need new flexplate for auto, then new driveshaft too. How does adding in OD tranny work? assuming the S10 has either .86 or .72 OD ratio, when im in OD would the effective rear ratio be stock 4.56 X .72OD for effective new ratio of about 3.28?

Never made one. With the gmc it bolted right in. We installed new 4 inch drop leafs 👍🏻

@jacintoponciano1990 with a c10 you will have to weld the trailing arm mounts or swap the truck over to leaf spring
