BUDGET AND HEALTHY WHAT I EAT IN A DAY 2024
Healthy and budget "What I Eat In A Day", the first of 2024. Since pregnancy I have kept my healthy meals on the go but definitely reached for more junk food, and the last few months I have really been making better healthier choices. Eating as healthy as I can, but also on a budget. I try to feed myself and family whole, hearty foods on a budget! This is a random day of eating, meals we had and snacks I had.

I agree with you,ive upped my healthy fats like olive oil and lost 3 stone and feel fuller and healther i also now eat full fat greek yoghurt, full dat cheese etc its been amazing, the fat keeps me full so i dont binge on sugar its also been great for my skin its so soft.i feel great on full fat food I'll never go back to low fat ever gain 😊love this video, would love more like this please xx

Brazil nuts are incredibly nutritious! I eat two daily. Lawrence should also. I spread pure almond butter on the apple wedges. An apple a day! Your dahl looks delicious! I add chopped roasted chicken to the dahl in a bowl. For breakfast or dessert, drizzle raw buckwheat honey over a bowl of Greek yoghurt and top with some chopped walnuts.

You don’t even need to pre chop your spinach before you freeze it. Because it goes so brittle you can just scrunch it in the zip lock bag and sprinkle it in 👍

If you like the whipped cheese, Lidl do some flavoured ones. Garlic, garlic and herb etc. Lush !!!

Keep an eye on your blood pressure if you're drinking lots of green tea.... it lowers your blood pressure I didn't know and used to drink a lot of it and I already suffered low blood pressure

@@Sopherina look into changing your fats avoiding vegetable oil, sunflower oil and rapeseed oil Olive oil is dangerous being cooked at high heats learnt this just recently xx

Can I ask whether you’re counting calories / consciously trying to lose weight…? Absolutely no judgement if you are! I’m just trying to work out if this new wave of content is right for me. I’m starting recovery from severe anorexia and trying to repair my relationship with food, so I try to avoid talk of “junk” and “sugar addiction” - personally, I don’t think the latter exists (insofar as the restriction of sugar is what I’ve heard often causes the cravings, rather than the ingredient itself!); I’d like to believe that an intuitive balance of treats and wholefoods is just as healthy for mind and body ☺️ I totally respect different things work for different people, though! Obviously I’d like to stay following you, as you’ve been a comfort vlogger / safe space for me for years! But equally, I have to protect my recovery, so if this is your path right now would you be able to let me know? Thanks :) x

Of course! I understand it’s such a sensitive topic, and I really do get where you’re coming from, as I’m out the other side of a 15+ year of ED’s. So just to be totally clear, I’d never ever again count calories, for as long as I live! The most unhealthy and hugely triggering thing for me is counting calories. I’m not weighing myself and do not weigh myself at all, again, hugely triggering for me and always will be I think. I do have to be really careful and kind to myself when I’m making myself more aware of what I’m eating, and not slip into previous patterns. I had an addiction to sugar, and like I said in the vid, I still eat my chocolates, biscuits and all sorts whenever I want (hence ending the day with cheesecake as I really fancied it!) but I’ve stopped myself relying on it for an energy source. I didn’t go into enough details about it all because I was worried I was rambling, but this isn’t a weight loss journey, it’s a keep nourishing my body with (mostly) whole foods, balancing out things a bit more and not relying on just sugary snacks for energy. I really don’t ever want to say or do the wrong thing when it comes to this, because only ED survivors and victims know how all consuming it all is, so I’ll really try to be careful with how I mention anything to do with “healthy” eating. Please do avoid any videos you think may trigger you, you’re on a long journey and need continuous positive affirmations for that journey, lots of love to you ♥️

So glad you are speaking about how “fat is not good for us” we need good fats and the fats you have mentioned are the ones we should have. And we should stay away from “seed oils” I only use butter, coconut oil, avocado, oil and extra-virgin olive oil when cooking 😊 ohhh, duck fat and beef fat too 😅 I’m trying 😂

We get a bit of beef fat from the butchers every now and then! And yes, olive oils and butter are much much better for you that “low fat” but high chemical alternatives! ♥️

Ultra processed food is food that is made using ingredients you cannot replicate from home.

@@Sopherina True. Things like artificial preservatives and emulsifiers. They think preservatives and artificial sweeteners are damaging the healthy bacteria in the gut. The immune system and digestive system are interconnected. A healthy digestive system means a healthy immune system.
