I also have an e-mtb! (mountain bike) 2020 Moustache Samedi Xroad FS3. The power assist level is basically the inverse of an excersize bikes difficulty level. With Bosch Gen 3 motor hacked with a Speedbox so it'll go 45kmph. The great thing is, in urban to suburban areas, free parking, allowed in parks and forest trails. Turbo Level is effortless, however rear cassette (gears) wear fast and the chain stretches over time. I'm on my 4th set of those @8,000km, likely due to Turbo Mode and weight. Belt Drive is the most robust, along with Rolloff hubs with internal gearing to solve the wear issues. Trek, Specialized and all the big names have full-on Emtb's with 20cm suspension travel and often air forks on the front, which is highly recommended. 650wh is a good battery size and should get 70km on Turbo for a 150lb human. The cost is relative to buying a small used commuter car, albeit with limitations and many benefits. I was also looking at Chinese bikes but I personally was thinking of it as a car purchase. 😊 I just bought another Logitech K750!!! Probably about the 20th one! Hurrayyyyy!!!!!

Always enjoy your videos might have been a little screw up in editing there seems like you looped the UL label talk twice. Been an e-bike rider for 5 years 15,000 mi on the one I'm riding not trying to sell e-bikes but think lightweight and cheap. I don't own one but at that same price point . Lectric

Ok, does it come UL listed? Does it have hydraulic brakes? How good is the customer support? Is the power controller potted? The hub motor, does it have reinforced metal gears? Instead of all nylon gears?

That same 10mm wrench you show on 2:00 , and complain it about, you just turn it 180 degrees and use the opposite 8mm fork for that same screw you show. All those keys are perfect for the job they are meant for, which is assembling that bike.

The wrench 🔧 I mentioned was not the size it said it was. It was poorly stamped. As with most all e-bikes you are best to have a proper set of your own tools to have the best assembly experience. Disposable assembly tools are never the best option for the job. Whether it’s bikes or furniture. Everyone should have a basic set of hand tools in their household.

My experience with most ebikes is that they do about half the advertised max range. If you help pedal the bike all the time it will go along way. But if you go full electric, I’d say 18-30 miles depending on the rider size.

Google the model and ot will show u you can jack it to pedal assist 5 after the hack (couple button presses) it should go to 15. I have a big tire and hacked it and went from the govtax. Which in canada is 32km/h. After hack ive had her up to 70km. And im 6 foot 5 and 275lbs. Voltbike its been amazing.

Why is the key just hanging off the battery like that? 12:00 If you ride with it like that, isn't it vulnerable to theft or falling out just hanging of the side behind you? Can't you just turn the lock to an "on" position and remove the key?

Speed mode 5 will eat up your battery. You don't need to go that fast anyway.
