I’ve seen 3 different beings out there. I heard lots of weird things like people walking in pitch black, clearly bipedal steps, heard cows mooing when there aren’t any cow farms for at least 10 miles, mostly everyone around here has horses but this is on a pipeline trail that’s county or company owned I believe. The night I saw this 10ft tall thing was when the power went out for 8 hrs and it was 3am I go out to smoke and shined my light bc it was pitch black and saw a pair of huge greenish blue eye shine 40 yards across the road in a clearing. The lowest branch on this tree is 25ft off the ground. Then 8 months later at thanksgiving I went outside at 8pm to smoke and heard a ruckus in the woods so I was curious and there was the same color eyeshine and two different things, one was crouched down like a person would grabbing maybe a rabbit or some other small game, the other went immediately started walking away and kept turning to look at me as it walked deeper into the woods. Right as I was shining my light a car pulled up to turn onto the road and his headlights were right where my light was so I know they saw it as well. I turned my light off to be considerate of passing cars and they say there for a few minutes just looking into the Forrest and finally just drove off. I used to live in the woods as a kid and have never seen anything like that before or since but I do still hear things every so often and that’s in SouthEast TN, not even out in the middle of nowhere there’s a lot of houses around but not on the pipeline. I haven’t been in the woods since but that has more to do with being broke and not being able to afford any gear though.

I noticed right before heading off you sprayed yourself, I am assuming for ticks, why don't you spray your gear too? I spray all my stuff, at least anything I am going into the woods with, from hat to boots with Sawyers Permethrin, I have seen ticks drop right off of me when they dropped onto me from a branch I brushed against, kills them dead. It is one brand I recommend without hesitation, at least from my experience. I have never found a tick on me when using it, my brother, the Tick Magnet, swears by it, he used to walk across his yard and end up with half a dozen ticks on him, happened all the time, started using Sawyers and never has any. You can spray your gear and it last upwards of 6 weeks before needing resprayed. Though it is for clothing and not your skin, I actually sprayed the ground inside my portable deer blind this year in case there were any ticks in the grass, as well as sprayed the blind itself. I trust this stuff, never worry a out dragging home a tick in my gear. Another great video my friend.

I have seen ticks in winter, it all depends on the temp. Right now today, it is only 29 degrees, but tomorrow it will be in the 40s, this is in Pennsylvania, I can almost guarantee tick activity when the winter is mild. Now I have not seen any in below freezing weather, but I have when the temp changes up and down and above say mid 30s.

@@gregzeigler3850 Among the many lovely side-effects of climate change is that the tick band is widening (further north, further south) and the time frame in which they're active is expanding; in the North East, about the only time you won't find ticks, nowadays, is when there's full snow cover.

You know, that sounds like a good book title! I could see something like this written by possibly Bradbury or, for a good spooky version, King or possibly Ramsey Cambell although if it's R C, he'd stick too many "the" words into the title, like "The Store", "The Mailman", etc , etc.! I keep waiting for him to write something called "The The" just because of this although there's a band that has that name, so he'd get sued for Copywrite infringement!! Ha ha ha!

I'm really glad you brought the subject of sasquatch up again. I like to read the comments. Never seen one but experienced some unexplained things like you. The thousands of reports, one even dating back to 1490's in Leif Erickson's journal, casts with dermal ridges that couldn't be attributed to human or primate by a 30 year latent print expert (Jimmy Chilcutt), DNA blind study results confirming non human and no known animal ( No match in GenBank) is extremely compelling. DNA is the nail in the coffin in criminal cases, the results put out by numerous universities in blind studies on this subject are no different. We are not alone in the woods. Great video

I'll tell you a very short and 100% true story about "finding something neat" while just driving the old country back roads. About 15 years ago I was out driving the old 2 tracks in northwest Missouri, near Bethany. After travelling many miles down this overgrown 2 track I was surprised to see the 2 track abruptly open up into what appeared to be a divided 4 lane,(Still only dirt road, but definitely a 4 lane with 2 lanes width on each side of the open wide grassy divider). This 4 lane wonder went on for about a quarter of a mile and suddenly I could see a church steeple. Ended turning off the 4 lane onto a road that was 2 lanes divided by about a 4 acre wide park looking area. The divided road led me to a tiny little town...apparently long deserted, that was quite a bit overgrown with tall grass and weeds. 2 or three single building storefronts,(all emptied and cleaned out), what looked like a relatively modern (60's era),single level "school" complex built with red and tan brick, almost completely overgrown. No signs at all of any vandalism, completely locked up and secured...not a single broken window...Just entirely deserted. The school looked as if you could send in a few guys with a brush hog and some machetes and have the place back in business in less than a week. In my years of wandering I have come across similar places...though none as secluded and utterly abandoned and left alone as this. On the northwest corner of "town" was the church...this was not some one room country chapel, but was instead built like a cathedral with all of the ornate and decorative brickwork , stained glass and huge doors that you would expect to see in a very affluent neighborhood in the finer rural areas just outside any major city...This building was impressive to see. Once again, Not one single sign of vandalism...not one broken window, stained glass or otherwise...locked tightly shut and inaccessible. As I have said before, I have found somewhat similar places in my past wanderings...but nothing that I have ever seen compared to this tiny town...Most places like this give you some kind of "feeling", whether that feeling is of past happiness or a feeling of dread and sorrow...This town gave me nothing but amazement. I tried to find the place again about a month later so that I could get photos and GPS Coordinates...but could not locate it..I have searched the internet as well as the library in Bethany...but have found nothing even suggesting that such a town ever existed. I have looked at satellite images on Google of the approximate area...and once again come up empty handed....Now THAT is what I would call "finding something neat".

I have not seen one yet, however, I have seen a few strange backpackers. Take care out there, be safe, have fun and keep watching for Bigfoot. 🤗

I'm not a bigfoot guy, but I have seen a few weird things. One time I was in the middle of the woods (not on a trail) and came to this small clearing where there was a tree stump with a single baseball sized white quartz rock sitting on it. Kinda like a marker of some kind. Another time I had bushwhacked 3 miles into the woods and found an abandoned camp with a cooler sleeping bag and campfire. Weird stuff. . .

Probably just a tweeker out cooking up a batch in the woods...doubt BigFoot needs a cooler or sleeping bag.

SmokyMountainOutdoorsman big foot lore isn’t too prevalent here in the Ozarks where I live, but I’ve seen videos of some absolutely creepy sounds emulating from the woods. It makes you think. I’d send you the link of this one in particular if I could find it. It was in Canada during a blizzard. Gave me chills

@@justinakers3196 I never knew bigfoot was even a thing outside of the pacific northwest but apparently "they" are everywhere. I'm not totally anti bigfoot, but I've yet to see any solid proof.

Brother, watching your video was like watching you taking out my gear, lol. I own the Deuter Aircontact 65+10, I think it is an awesome backpack. The military pad is actually from the german army (Bundeswehr) and it is folded that way to become a back-pad for the german army backpack. I also owned an Ajungilak sleepingbag for over two decades, imho some of the best sleepingbags you can get, but if you buy them new, you pay biiiiiig money :-) Great video, Cheers from Germany, Marc

Brother ! Love the vids, cant wait to go camp in snow like that. I'd love to go with you oneday, that would be choice. We dont see that snow here in the deep south. Here's why I'm writing: Bigfoot. Thank God you finally mentioned it because You camp in prime territory! They are extemely curious and especially a single solo hiker camping right in their yard is enticing! Listen for wood knocks, the sound of hitting 2 2x4's together. Listen for this as soon as you step out your truck when you arrive. This is what we think is a Sentinal watching for humans alerting the main group to be warned of your presense. Or whenever you are near, they will knock. If they are close, your hair will stand up on end and everything will just STOP!! No sounds. No birds, insects, nothing. You have a peaceful harmonious energy to to you so they should never perceive you as a threat. Just curiosity. Ive been researching them for 19 years. I have never definatiively seen one but without a doubt I have been near them. I have 24 casts and moulds of their tracks. In particular the world famous Patterson-gimlin film of 1967, I have 5 of her tracks. If you ever....find a track Cast it !!! I can make the mould for you. And by the way, I camp remotely too. You should need a separate vehichle to carry your balls in to camp that remote without a single firearm.........I Salute you!
