Since the WW update, you can hit max attack speed with a slower wrapon. For example, you can hit the 4 frame per attack WW with Death Colossus Sword. You just need a merc with lvl 1 fanaticism, and around 54% total ias. Merc with hustle weapon 20 ias gloves Highlords 15 ias jewel. Happy levels, love the content.

Between him and DBruneski you're essentially set for life. Llama is good too but I agree, phil is more chil and doesn't nerd out too much so I think that's why a lot of slayers like us enjoy his stuff!

I have a couple of azurwraths. They have plus skills and added elemental damage. Acceptable budget option I recon? I also have the grandfather as well. Been running a lightsaber and…. That cold unique sword…, gah don’t remember what it is but has 200-400 added cold damage

Thanks for this Phil, I have switched to Solo offline play - main is a Sorc but I have been braching out for some variety. I just rolled a WW Barb all of level 15 atm - great timing!!!! You Rock !!!!

Budged = 5/6 ik set, angelics and some armor. It cleans everything and does trav runs fine.

So to max skill allocation.. BO weapons Cta and (any +3) Saves 2 base points for more damage. 🤷😜 1 point frenzy using 2 lacerators, charge up ias and amp curse for ww spam. And yes, mana leech!! Mana burn will screw ya! Doom zerker is a good offhand option if you're not looking to hork, yer survival rate will go up, substantially

I self found the whole ik set last ladder for the first time (could never get that armor then I found 2 in one season, both in river of flame) and made a ik ww barb for Trav. Only issue is the cold damage

lionheart and duress are better than smoke, but worse than fortitude. also IK set is good budget ww build

Is there a aoe build that is not whirl wind for p5 at least or even p1 that is melee or bow or something that isn’t all magic-we for a male character. I like meleee but it sucks for farming and I don’t like playing as a female

Your budget is "decent". Why use smoke when there is Duress? It's very budget and is much better than smoke. You won't need that 50 res as much when there is a skill point for just that in the barb skill tree

Sorry, but you gotta have some extra layer of masochism if you like Whirlwind in D2. WW is the clunkiest ability in D2 and should be reworked to work similar to Cyclone in PoE. Currently it's such a piece of crap that the only Barbarian that's worth of something is one on Warcries.

Pro tip for Trav runs: I prefer to NOT have cannot be frozen on WW Barb because your WW attack speed WILL NOT be slowed while you are slowed from cold damage. This means that you will move slower past the target while hitting the sh*t out of them.

I’ve now beaten every character on hell and I have to say barbarian is the biggest piece of dog shit ever lol like the worst class to play it’s so boring and the abilities are weak especially compared to other builds. I have all BiS gear for a whirlwind barb and honestly it’s sucks
