When you have a 5 meal cook, consider freezing one of those portions for nights you dont want to cook and/ or to break up one of the other 4 or 5 meal cools.

I had the same problem with my basement several years ago. They put in a drain and installed a pump to get the water out. Call a basement specialist. It was expensive. I think it was $3000+. It was over 10 years ago.

Ugh. Glad you got it figured out! Looks like I'm gonna need some grading and a drain as well. I'm hopeful that'll fix the issue 😭

We had the same issue with water in the basement for us it had to do with work the city did and we had very old pipes that needed to be replaced. And because the city did some fixing next to our house the overflow ran into our pipes

Really?! I wish that was the case for me. Looks like I'm gonna need some grading to do. I want to get a drain too. My neighbors were having very similar issues until they dug a drain a few years back they said. I'm wondering if the neighbors behind us are draining their water away from their house towards us now or something.

@@MillennialLifeAndFinances My light bulb moment was years ago after I had signed up to take a veggie tray to a work potluck. Well, I was feeling particularly busy and tired so the night before I passed the pre-cut, grocery store veggie trays with the intent of buying one or two. After looking at the prices, I fled to the produce department where for the price of one prepared tray I picked up enough veggies plus salad dressing to make 5 or 6 of what they were selling. I covered a cookie sheet with foil, cut and arranged a bunch of veggies, then took the rest in containers to replentish the cookie sheet; my prepared veggie tray idea left me starting late in the evening before and covered cookie sheet it was. Ultimately, I took my left overs home and made stock out of them.

Where do your down spouts drain to? Can thet be redirected to further away from the house?

Yes, that's what I tried with my "temporary fix." I bought some extenders and connected to them to the drain to direct the water away from the house. It's helping some, but definitely not when it's storming for too long
