@@Bankai2169 26 year old vehicle with 50/50 Toyota red coolant & distilled water changed every 3 years. no corrosion. no leaks. Original heater core.

Pets are attracted to the sweet smell and taste of glycol . It will kill them . Don't pour it on the ground .

I believe that with the severity of this vehicle, the problem wasn't with rust but rather with the addition of some sort of brown cooling system sealer (ie: stop-leak). There simply isn't enough ferrous material in that cooling system to lead to that much rust and corrosion.
