Awesome job! I have saved $414, which I need for annual expenses that are due this month - car registration, a professional membership, etc. January is an expensive month. But in years past, I would have put some of them on credit. We are making great progress!

Love it. Still on no spend. I only purchase Starbucks on half off days. 100 bottles of perfume. Nope. I have my signature scent. Scent beads when on sale for less than a dollar per. No food delivery.

The food one, yes! I have read about frozen veggies being pretty darn healthy. When they pick them fresh, the fruits and veggies immediately start to deteriorate. But when you buy frozen, the produce is usually flash frozen, so it’s sealing in the nutrients. So, grab those frozen onion, bell pepper mixes and sauté them up without shame! It’s pretty cheap, tastes the same, life is good! Eat up!

I keep a journal and when I feel the need to impulse buy, I put a sticker in the journal with the product and cost. Just writing it down helps with that initial urge and my brain can move on. Sometimes I will look back and see the sticker and say meh…I don’t need it or yes, I still want it but let me start a sinking fund. (My impulse buys always tend to be more than $100)

I have two Stanley cups that are the smaller ones, i make my own coffee each morning and I can drink it once I am at work and having my breakfast… I have so many bottles of colognes and I am not buying anymore colognes for a long time..thanks for that reminder. Lord knows I buy all these planners cause I have good intentions but by the 2nd month, I don’t use it anymore. What I do is carry a smaller notebook(field notes) and I write things down in that. I have wasted so much money with buying fresh produce…I am single with no kids and can never eat that bag of spinach or kale fast enough…I can’t juice the lemons and apples and pineapples fast enough. Whew!! I have locs and need to make an appointment now to get a retwist but I may just do it myself and save myself some coins but I have to get a haircut. lol Good stuff!!!

You are so right about the food delivery service, every time I have ordered, I have been disappointed with either the food or the service. I never know what people are doing with the food either. That $5 section in Target will get you everytime…every single time. As for water, I have a 3 gallon jug from Whole Foods and it costs maybe 3 dollars to fill it up and then I fill up my personal water bottle with that. I appreciate your channel and this list. Cause this is where I am currently. I have been so bad about impulse shopping. I am currently doing a nospend and I realize by being off of social media or not spending lots of times on social media, I am not tempted to buy stuff. Cause I don’t need anything. Lmao

I don't plan on buying clothes, I haven't put up a Christmas tree in years since hardly no one is in my place but me, my bday is on vday so I did buy some vday decor from the dollar tree, Im using up all of my hygiene products and home smell goods before I buy more, only grocery shopping when needed, whatever new perfume I may get this year will be gifted to me from friends & my sis, I only buy Kroger water & sometimes they have a coupon for a free 24pk, & walgreens has deals on detergent n scent boosters different times of the year.

One of the best things I’ve invested in is my wardrobe. I spent so much money n trying to fit in with the crowd and wearing things I don’t like. But as soon as I found my style I invested in pieces from slow fashion small businesses and now I enjoy building outfits because no matter what I wear it’s me inside and out. I haven’t gotten clothes for months because I always now search for pieces that I would use and would serve me very well! I also learned how to crochet braid on my hair, and it’s a great way to get a simple style I want! And I got to take my time and I only had to buy hair, and I got to reuse the hair since I had taken care of it. Also after decluttering my home I was able to make myself a savings challenge out of an old binder with card sleeves! And I went to Michael’s and got some supplies to make myself a 100 envelope challenge-I can’t wait to fill these up!

I am a planner girl but I have also stopped buying planners and covers. This year I decided to redate and use the ones that I have. I gave an undated one to my bestie. Now I will only buy planners that I have a specific use for. Same for the clothes. Im curating my style. I know what looks good on my shape and I stick to the rivers and the lakes that I’m used to.

This is a great channel. I totally agree with saving money on usless things, especially with inflation. I do drink coffee at home. I have a rule how many coffee mugs to keep. I have an addiction to nail polish and pet toys. Im trying not to buy so many. I used to buy holiday decor, but i just now keep one piece. I think just in general to limit everything because im constantly giving things away and wasting money.

Such a wonderful idea for the video. I was in retail and always had to change out the decorations for each season , so I carried that in my home. What I will do is go through the items I have and keep what I still need and donate the rest. Yes the sticker books, I’m only going to use what I have.

My husband and I have surprised ourselves for how many days we have gone without spending money on unnecessary things! I ordered a laundry essential oil off Amazon to hopefully take the place of my scent boosters! Super cheap in comparison I’m hoping that it will be more potent as well!

Only every now and then you get a big whiff of clothes and say oh that smells good. Also it hard to not buy sale items or the pretty things but we have to hunker down and learn to save better! Hair I do myself and I cut down on ordering makeup. My nails and toes I do once a month. I cut the spending on clothes and shoes. Bath and body works I don’t order I have too much. I feel you. In regards to BBW products, you can bring it back to them anytime. If you don't have the receipt they just give you a store credit. If you have the receipt they will let you swap it out. While working there, a customer came in with a bottle of lotion she had purchased the previous year (she had the receipt) and we took it back and let her swap it out. It didn't matter if it was used or not. They are one of a few companies that have a GREAT return policy.

Trends do fade and die out however I am in agreement with you! I’ve realized after living in the woods vs big cities and small, the color and reverse psychology to buy was impulsive to me. Shopping is depressing and I always wanted to live practical as I do but I don’t usually like boring. It does get lonely as well. Living simpler and simplicity is key. Wearing name brands is a heavier attachment and I feel more alive than without getting attached or binded to it. Everyone wants your money when you get paid. I mean everyone! Buy experiences, I watch Timothy Ward and he’s been spot on lately. Life is full of experiences and as of food I have to eat whole foods-cooked food due to meat and dairy. It’s chemicals every where and my body has been rejecting food altogether. Its a lot out there to learn. Eating one meal a day(omad) may not be for everyone and lots of fasting (I didn’t eat nor drink. Got my mind off of food all together) it helped me lose weight. Now coffee whew 😅. I always make mines at home.

@@BudgetTreasuresI am super simple with my savings challenges $75 a week to my sinking funds AND the weekly amount for the 52-week savings challenge but in reverse! This week I’ll be moving $$125 to savings - $75 plus $50 for this third week of the year. Next week it’ll be $124 - $75 plus $49, and on down. This helps as the higher numbers are saved first, when I’m fired up!

So true. Starbucks has gone up to much for me so I’m with you on that one. I’m an impulse buyer so an influencer gets me quickly. I am going to take a break from influencers that I know convince me to buy things. Budget stuff too, some items don’t even work for me. Each time I want to buy something, I’m adding it to my savings. You just convinced me to start using meal prep because I waste food too. I have a 32K IRS tax bill I need to get rid of. Tightening up on spending too. So glad I found you! You make me think twice about my bag girl! Thank you!

So has Panera bread! I live in Fort Worth TX and the Panera bread here has skyrocketed. I brought a sandwich and half salad with no meat and it was $22! I immediately deleted their app and said this is my last time coming here! A lot of other franchises have increased so we do not eat out as much and I’m learning new Recipes once a month.

My partner and I have set ourselves some no buy things. Not eating out , taking lunch into work. Meal plan each week, going to the store with a list. Shopping around for our main cleaning products. (Laundry Products) . Having our heating and water on timer x

Loved this video so much! i definitely agree with everything you said, I haven't bought/purchased some of the stuff you mentioned in years and it saved me so much money, but...... The name brand water..... sometimes the taste with certain waters are different and not as crisp lol. I have a water filter pitcher that I've had for years that's been holding me down. I feel up my reusable bottles and usually during cold weather I keep them in the car, when its really hot weather I fill them with ice and water and throw them in the back seat.

I will not spend money on sales, Amazon for unnecessary things.About the vegetables, if you don't use all of the them you can chop them together with a bit oil and vinegar and put it in a jar. Your advise is all great, love them all. I like the create a sinking fund for an impulse item, and save up for it. I am not going to buy lots of expensive bath oils, bath bombs etc. As you said, good old soap and water and body lotion. One thing I will not compromise on, is my skin care products lol.

I agree I don't buy scent boosters or fabric conditioner! I have one bottle just randomly but I don't bother. I think it's expensive. I get pods delivery to my home and I only use what I have and .uch better for the environment xx

You got me here 😅lol I drink lots of water all day so the ice cubes stay in tact 😂😂 so the Stanley would work for me and yes on having lots of cups😅 we use filter water. I am saving for one but these are really great tips. Omg and the planner one hit hard whew.
