I made this for my sons tonight and they loved it. I made three changes - 1: I only used extra sharp cheddar - no mozzarella. 2: I layered it in the pan and added more cheese :) 3: baked it for 20 minutes. Love your recipes brother. Trying your potato salad for New Years dinner.

A couple months ago, my husband & his best friend went out for lunch & he ordered Buffalo chicken mac n cheese and apparently it was SO GOOD that he has spent every moment of free time since then trying to recreate a buffalo chicken mac n cheese dish that stacks up to the one he had at the restaurant. Thing is… he’s not the greatest cook. So all of his efforts have fallen very… very short lol. Ever since he started attempting to make it at home and ever since every single time keeps coming out terribly, I’ve really REALLY been wanting to find a legitimately GOOD recipe & make it for him. I’m so grateful that I just happened to stumble upon your channel! After coming across one of your videos randomly while watching other stuff, I went to your page & ended up watching a few of your videos on various recipes. One of the videos I watched was your creamy macaroni and cheese recipe. About half way though that video, it reminded me about my husband’s hopeless quest to recreate what he calls “the best thing I’ve ever eaten” (referring to the Buffalo chicken mac and cheese he had at the restaurant). I am SO happy that you have a recipe for this bc I have a very very strong feeling this is gonna be THE recipe that is gonna be able to pull off recreating the yumminess my husband has been craving ever since that day at the restaurant. He works third shift so he’s sleeping right now. I’m gonna sneak off to the grocery store to get all the ingredients to make this & then I’m gonna try to make it without him finding out (so while he’s still asleep). Then I’m gonna make a big yummy looking plate and wake him up with a big forkful of it under his nose so that the smell wakes him up & then he’ll see the plate and 🎉 surpriiiiiiise🎉 ! 😆 the best kind of random breakfast in bed ever lol

Great recipe. For Thanksgiving, my 10 year old and I did something similar (without the chicken and heavy hot sauce, but with bacon browned panko), but instead of baking we smoked it for about an hour at a lower temp with pecan wood. I'm envisioning the possibilities with combining the two. In fact, my mouth is already watering.
