And I believe the reason why the shooter specifically targeted black people was not because he hated black people per se, but rather believed in the "Great Replacement Theory", and so felt he needed to act because he was afraid that white people will eventually become a minority in the US. Crazy ideology, but in a country where far-right ultraconservative groups like the Proud Boys exist, people believing in such things shouldn't be too surprising. @flatearthdenier84542 жыл бұрын
@@Bowlowtie look, no one is holding a gun to these kids head forcing them to commit crime. It's just that the lifestyle is so lucrative and it's glamorized. Another big part of the issue is that 75% of black households are single parent households, and it's not the father's raising the kids. It's been shown that single mother households are responsible for raising highly degenerate people, drug addicts, abusers, alcoholics, violent offenders, while single father households are better at raising people that contribute to society. It seems like to me, that those households that lack the father to put the fear of authority into these kids are why so many incidents with police happen. They have no respect of authority, which leads to them pulling guns on the cops, or fighting with the cops, resisting arrest, thinking they can just ignore the cops and try to just walk away or whatever and just simple traffic stops can suddenly turn deadly. Along with all this, I think there is a major problem with blaming anything and everything but addressing some of these real reasons and it just gets put on racism, or systemic racism, when to be truthful, most white people in America are too busy raising their own families or working their 9-5 to care about what other people, even other whites, are doing and it's only because this gang culture and violence has such an impact on innocent bystanders and other crime that affects the community, is why people have resentment for the criminals. So too much attention is put on whites supposedly being racist and this "problem" with cops "killing" black people or "over policing" black neighborhoods seems like a distraction from the real issues. I mean to blame the police for why there are so many black men in prison is as stupid as blaming the bandaid for the cut that it's on top of. Police are a reactionary service. Crime happens, police are called, they handle the crime they are called to. It's not like police are driving up and down the street looking to bust any black person for every little crime and then just executing them cause they are black, it's just a cop out no pun intended. There needs to be change in the way black people are raised and I think this is a conversation that the community needs to have with themselves, there isn't much of anything other communities can do that they don't already do. I'm not saying there is absolutely no racism in America, but I think that animosity towards the black community much of it is a reaction to disregard that is seen from all the gangs and gang activity.

im from buffalo and im so glad that this started with a conversation about the 33 segregating our city. its been a massive problem that weve been fighting against recently to no avail. and that church on ferry and wyoming is my old familys church where my great aunt had her funeral. i dont even live on the west side but i hear gunshots once a week, buffalo is a deeply hurt city. my own house got shot up and the police did nothing they didnt even care coming 12 hours after they were called took the bullet that went through 3 doors and a wall and never saw them again, the cops are so corrupt and fucked up and dirty. we need more community resources and public safety groups for everybody specifically minorities.

My family had houses in east Buffalo, the last house was two blocks off of Genesee, near Kehr. That was the house where my grandparents lived, (they both passed in the 1970's). Watching this brings me back, so many memories of my childhood are connected with that hood. We ended up in E. Amherst, every Sunday after church mom would drive us to visit our grandparents, down Genesee. During the "long, hot summer" riots, Genesee St. was one burnt out business after another. In my mind, it was the long hot summer rioting that polarized the Buffalo community concerning race, everyone seemed to get along previously, bc everyone worked together (at Bethlehem, etc.) and lived together in an integrated community. I am horrified at what happened at Tops. It's proof that we still have work to do to educate, and to legislate for gun control. We are experiencing a "pandemic" of gun violence, which is being driven by ignorance imo.

Race is a creation not a biological construct. America has never fixed or repaired this creation. This country has only brought in “people of color” to mask the Black failure that they have woven into the fabric of everything here (religion, education, failing schools & cities, etc). The most important component they stripped from was/is wealth & wealth building. We were forced to build the richest country of all time & then bottom casted. The veil of entertainment & sports has been the only way out. Thanks #ADOS organization for this full understanding of the construct that’s defined by our lineage and not by color itself. I haven't talked to him in a while. But when we were teenagers we've hanged out together, we also went on a lot of church activities and his family was very welcoming. I told my parents that we should invite them over for dinner. We did and they came. My friend and I compared features quite a bit and as I observed him and who he is. It was quite a cool experience. The color of our skin looks different. But amazing, I have never looked at it as another person who is from a different Race. I looked at it more as being different and as a human being. I love him for who he is and not for who he isn't. I wish people could treat people with respect. I wish Racism didn't exist but not a lot of people see that. We are all human beings, we have the same nose, same mouth, same 5 fingers on each hands, same feet, same features as those who are white, black, Asian, and Polynesian.
