A detailed look at my Bugera 333xl infinium which was my main amp and it deserves a showing.. 4 years plus of use and it's been flawless.
PLEASE ask any questions, like and subscribe... Sorry I waffles on for 30 minutes!!
I bought this with my own money, cabinet too but the links are affiliated and it helps me if you use them.
My Ibanez used is no longer made but this is the modern version redir.love/tho...

Sorry for the translation, I don't know English, I just wanted to say Thank you. Thanks for the nice video where you explain the details of this amplifier. I've owned one for a year and I agree with everything you said. Congratulations for the channel... Greetings from Mark Milano city - Italy.

Hi, greetings from Brazil! I have this amp, bought it 2 years ago, and I discovered a secret to this “fizzy” sound. When you engage de effects loop/boost, this fizzy goes away. I’m using the lead channel almost all the time and this tip just corrected the sound for my ears. Try it, maybe you found the same. Nowadays, for metal, I’m using the guitar straight into the amp, lead channel and all the effects on the loop. Cheers!

It does, I run my Digitech RP1000 in the loop using 4 cable method but I agree, there is a de fizzing if just using the FX loop . I use the crunch channel with a very light boost (SD-1 setting gain at 0 level full)) for metal rhythm and lead channel with the same boost for solos.... sounds killer especially when loud!

It is, I know the original got a bad name but that was a decade ago, Like I said, I had Laney amps for 25 years, the Ironheart really didn't work for me and within 10 minutes, this was "the sound" I wanted... wait until you hear it with a boost in the front and a delay in the loop!!! :D

not that long at all, just about enough time to go through the amp with decent demo of what it can do. Had mine a couple of weeks now, very impressed. Just reformed an old band after 10 years and this amp is more than what I need. Used to have a Marshall jmp super lead 100w which was way too powerful with not much control on the settings. Had to control the modelling through the pedal board to get control, but this amp gives you so much more control over the settings and the 3 chanel with the pedal controller lets you switch effortlessly to each setting. The real selling point for this is the infinium circuit, it can save you a lot of time and money when it comes to changing tubes and rebiasing when that time comes. Overall mate a good vid the best I have seen on this amp. Cant wait to gig it and put the shits up some control freak sound engineers

Thank you, that's quite a compliment, nothing is ever scripted and I just ramble on but I'll just call it my style. The Crunch channel is to me the best, I rarely use the lead channel, I'd rather have a boost on the crunch to give me more dynamics

It's an interesting amp. I have owned the non infinium version for I think almost 10 years now. I think it sounds good one day and I turn it on the next day with the same settings and I think it sounds bad. a bit of a tricky beast to dial in but I definitely think it has unique character. I played my friends JSX which this is supposed to immitate but I thought they sounded pretty different. Wish I would have recorded some clips to compare later on ...
@Fergieguitar

Voltage changes in the power supply can do this, if the voltage is low, it's got more gain and a bit of sag(evenings/dinner time) if voltage is high, it's a dry sound. Look at a voltage regulator.conditioner maybe

Nice, I did consider the 6262 when I bought this and swung back and forth for ages BUT it was the access to 3 channels and such a clean channel that won me over. Both great cabs, I know a lot of folk (in germany) who use Engl and they are immense!!

there is also a cheap tri rec clone with a lot of technical troubles sometimes even so dangerous that it was discontinued for that reason..sound ok for the price but noisy and shrill in a way you can not dial that out, they used wrong presence pots by accident..cheers 🎸

Wow....from a Bugera 333xl to a Katana??? Wouldnt be my first choice but hey to each their own.
@Fergieguitar
@Fergieguitar Жыл бұрын
I have both, use both just in different circumstances and how my mood is, to be fair, the Bugera is obviously faster and easier to get the tone but the Katana has it too, it just takes more time and a lot of use of the high pass filter in the eq which is a laptop job BUT given time, it's a good tool and I happily gig either...sometimes both if the venue is kind
@joecharpentier6636
@joecharpentier6636 Жыл бұрын
@radsquiggle I'm glad you're happy with it. I have heard good things about the Artist mk2 series. I just prefer the tube tone. It's classic and capable of so many sounds based on gain, volume, etc. But the Katana is capable of so many too so I can see going back and forth.
@Fergieguitar
@Fergieguitar Жыл бұрын
@@joecharpentier6636 both have their charms and both have shortfalls, weight is one, having one box to power a cabinet and line out and have a few presets plus a couple of pedals is the win for the katana but time to learn it compared to a tube amp is the drawback.

Great video. I have question, please. During your speech from 29:30 onwards, the tube indicators are flashing from time to time, randomly... Is this normal or is there something wrong? I ask, because I put a set of all new tubes (4 preamp + 4 poweramp), the amplifier works perfectly, but I noticed that random flashing of the small LEDs like yours...it annoys me :) Thanks
@Fergieguitar

A little bit of flashing seems fine, I think its just testing or doing its thing but mine never seems effected, the thing that is silly is having them on the back where we never look

I'm in between this and the 6262, really can't decide. Would your recommend one more than the other?
@Fergieguitar
@Fergieguitar 10 ай бұрын
It's a tough call, both have way more gain than you ever need, the 333xl has more low end and the active eq gives a huge range to dial in plus you get 3 channels, the 6262 does have a clean/crunch option and the lead channel but your clean and crunch always share the same EQ, maybe you don't need a clean channel but it's there and each channel has its own eq. Playing live the 333xl wins for solos because the fx loop has a level adjust so you can pres "fx loop" on the footswitch and you get a volume jump and thats on all channels, 6262 doesnt have that, it just has on/off . So with a 333 you can have both gain channels on different voicings and play solos on either . I love the 6262 but it's limited by comparisson, I have a Jet City JCA50 and it's similar to the 6262 in function and I love it but if I had ONLY one amp, it would be the 333xl for it's range
