I own this Amp ,I still have the original tubes and It still sounds better than my other guitar players $1000 amp! BUY IT!!! Now I want a V55 as well to run an A/B setup!

I think it depends on what time of souind a player is looking for. To me, this sounds great for many different styles ....... but someone who plays Metal or prefers a bit more gain, This amp falls short imo ..

I purchased one of these amps about a 1 or so ago. I wanted to throw it away so it sat on a shelf. One day I got the bright idea to swap out tubes, with some 6L6gc tubes. So now I actually can play this amp . What I noticed Bugera amps do. They don’t sound like anything else. But what they do, they sound like the guitar I have plugged in. Which isn’t a bad thing, because I own several guitars that sound different. This amp brings out those characteristics.

I own this amp (head version in a celestion V30 speaker) for couple weeks now and it's worth the price ! Sounds are great : you've got a real clean channel and the overdrive channel is very versatile... Love it !

Great playing, great review! I'm in the market for a tube amp and this just might get the job done. However, I'm going to have to go with a combo version because of cash. But I should be more than happy if the combo is anywhere near as good as this. After all, I can always replace the speaker.

Excellent Demo, Corey. It really sounds great with the full set of JJ tubes (11:16) played through that Harley Benton 2 x 12" cab loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's (16:00). Just ordered a V22 HD myself, which should be here in a few days. Gonna have to look into getting one of those HB 2 x 12 cabs now, as well, to get those really sparkling clean tones, as well as getting the right sonic profile for the blues/rock/metal sounds, and move a bit more air than a single 1 x 12" should I ever want to use it for live stage performance... Thx...! ;-)

I picked this amp up today for $277 off the wonderful eBay. It seemed like the best for the price and features. I have only watched this approx 1 hr video, maybe 10 times already? Yes, sad. :) I will be building my own cabinet with some Celestion V-30's. I made up some plans on the back of a napkin and they look great. Ha. It should be fun. I have some woodworking skills and the small parts needed can be attained with little cost. I plan on Just a nice stain, no Tolex.

A follow up to this. I got this amp yesterday and just hoped it sounded as good as my Peavey Silver Stripe 112. I have only owned transistor amplifiers. Before the Peavey. i had a Crate GX80 with a Celestion stock speaker. Both are powerful amps and after 30 years I had never had the opportunity to plug into a tube amp with my gear, but i had convinced myself that tubes were more status than tone. I can only say i was wrong. Currently i am using the Sheffield speaker that is still sitting in my Bandit, to run the Bugera I have a Vintage 30, 8 ohm old England stock arriving any day that i will put in a cab i just built. I can not stop playing. I just look at the amp and have to play it. I feel like i added several years of education/playing/practice in just one day. Buy this amp folks. It is inexpensive and a beast. The low end is massive and the tone is like a bubbling brew of chime, and swirl. If i were to express the sound as a picture it would be a ball that is now twice the size it was, that shimmers and pulses. I really did not know, but now i do. TY Cory for presenting this great product so nicely and once again bringing my tone to a new level.

Whew. What a sound for such a small amp. IMHO: this gives more power than the normal V22 infinium 22Watt version. You convinced me, I HAVE to have one of these.

I want to get a tubeamp again, so I am looking for a 50 Watt amp which isn´t that expensive. After a short search I have found the Bugera V55 and the Jet City JCA50H. Only difference I found was that the Jet City has 5 pre-amp tubes instead of 3, and of course the price. Both are tempting, but now I don´t know which one I should buy... The cabinet will be the HB G212 Vintage. Your Review convinced me, maybe this one will too. XD

LLT79 i was in the same position as you. i first wanted the JetCity, but then took the Bugera. the jetcity wasnt available at this time. that was the only reason. the jetcity will come too in my collection. should be a great amp too. but the bugera was better then expected for sure!

I own both the V22 (In Head and Combo) and the V55 and I will tell you I like the V22 much better. JetCity is not even close. I've seen them demoed side by side. Buy the V22. I own the V55 and it sits in my closet. I think maybe a tube change might be in order. I just don't like the tone as much and honestly I see no difference in power

I guess the Jet City will also be a good choice, but if I would get a Bugera amp it would be the V55, cause I like the 6L6 more. ;o) I´m still not sure, but I might buy the Jet City JCA50H.

Try it with better tubes. It really opens them up. I have a Bugera Trirec and put in Sovtek tubes. It sound amazing now compared to the stock Bugera tubes or even the JJ's I had in there for a while.

Yeah those jj pre amp tubes seem to be the best choice for the V22. Their EQ is flat. I used scooped mid tubes and the tube sounds farty from all that top and bottom end..

I bought the combo version with the 12" and I'm very pleased; and the price was so right! I have one question: Do you (or anyone) know a way I can connect my phone or MP3 player to the amp to play to back tracks to practice with? I also have a Fender Mustang II on which I can connect my iPhone and play a backing track from KZbin, like Blues in Am, for example. I'm kinda new to tube amps. Thanks!

Do you know if the G20 Infinium just a newer version of this? Seems like the features are similar except that the G20 has an independent tone knob for the clean channel and the 3 band eq for the gain channel.

hi, super review echt super! die LP war ein Harley Benton? Ist der Bugera V22 eine echte Alternative zu Marshall DSL15 und Engl Gigmaster15? Angeblich Qualitätsprobleme, Marke wäre Schrott. Kann man ihn in Mietwohnung betreiben wg Lautstärke, oder besser Bugera G5 bzw.G20 ? Meine Musikrichtung Hard Rock/Metal 80ger. danke für deinen Tip. VG mario

+Marios Anastasiadis der Amp ist super, kann jetzt aber nichts zu den vergleichen sagen.. ob Engl oder Marshall.. das ist einfach Geschmackssache. kann nach wie vor keine Qualitätsprobleme feststellen... abrauchen kann er auch nicht da er sich ja ständig selber kontrolliert.. also die Röhren. mit einem G5 wärst du Lautstärke-technisch sicherlich besser beraten. aber der V22 macht auch da noch ne gute Figur. Hardrock, metal... dann eher den G5 oder sogar G20!

Ich hab den g20, ist wirklich ein super amp, gibt's nix zu sagen. Verträgt sich auch super mit einem davorgeschalteten Boost. Hab damit sogar im Studio aufgenommen weil mir der Sound so gefallen hat.

Those reviews are from nearly a decade ago. If you read ANY review from the last year, these amps are simply the best you can buy for the money. It seems Behringer/Bugera has really stepped up their game while maintaining that low price. The power regulator issue in the old Bugera V22 has been resolved; the old V22's had a blue LED and the new ones have a red LED. Absolutely ZERO problems reported with the red lighted version, which are the versions all over KZbin. Happy tubing!

Mike H ich lebe in meinem Haus. aber das gute an dem amp ist das der master volume sehr sauber regelt... also wirklich von super leise bis wahnsinnig laut. bei anderen Amps bist du bei 0,1 schon zu laut. und er klingt immer gut... klar, mit master volume über 5 am besten. aber ich hab auch schon super leise aufgenommen und alles bestens
