Really good but as a construction engineer i see a few problems in this layout. in case of heavy rain I hardly see how it could prevent overflow since water is already at almost its max level. To prevent that, you should put the electric generator at the lowest possible level and allow more water to flow into the dam as well for maximum safety. One last thing, the wall is too thin, only one layer of blocks won't be enough to retain water forever especially if the level is high. I would have set 2/3 layers. Anyway gooood job man, very inspiring.

If a person is determined, he can do a lot. But if you do a little hard work and dedication keeping the public interest in mind with good thinking, understanding and a vision of a bright future, then that small effort can bring light in the dark lives of people, which can remove the darkness settled in their lives. Can do. A single one can remove the darkness from the lives of many. But not everyone, only a few people with positive thinking can come together and fill the dark life with light. This simple looking man, through his deeds and common knowledge, has given us a great message of solving even the most complex problems from the point of view of science. Very impressive work! Having had some experience with drainage streams I can tell you the sluice gates can get gunked up quickly and become very difficult to move, especially with a stronger force (i.e. heavy rain) pushing against them. Erosion is also a longer term concern as there is no plant coverage on the bare soil. Again heavy rains bring the concern. All of that being said, a phenomenal job! Very impressive.

No doubt a great job, but we also see water stagnation on one side and less flow of water to the other side. Now it's evident why dams kill rivers. Perhaps some change in the design to ensure that just enough water is used to power the turbines, which means to concentrate the energy on a few points and let the rest of the water flow unhindered.

Cool but there's no way it is stable. It's not a stream, it's a heavily eroded drainage ditch. The water is going to undermine the structure, wash out the sides, collapse the straight wall of the dam and bring massive amounts of silt into it. Failure is Imminent. I hope there's nothing important downstream. Which is why hobbyist dams are illegal in the United States.
