Hello my friends! Here is my submission for the challenge with RD Custom Diecast. I already had a look at Rodney's Truck and dang I can't compete with NOS and a blower! Make sure you go have a look and say Hi for me! Hope your weekend is going swell. I've upgraded the coat counter a bit, its a work in progress though (comments). Go check out Rodney's Video here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/n52kmJh8ZpWKfZo

LOL "mulletizing" - that's exactly what that rear window fairing does. I think I remember them being called "razorbacks" also. I live in the Southeast of US so these trucks were everywhere you looked when I was a kid, set up very similarly to this 🤘🏻

I think it's almost like a dream to own a miniature version of a car you own that means a lot to you. I have a '71 AMC Javelin, and it's full restored and going into the body shop for paint and final bodywork in about a week. I found a Johnny Thunder diecast that is the exact car, a 71 Javelin in the same colors mine is gonna be, high gloss black with a white T-stripe on the hood. It just makes me happy to think of a day I can sit at my desk, look at that car, then walk out the front door and get in the real deal and go for a drive.

My 1st car was 73 Mercury's Comet. "The Blue Bomb". Had no floor boards or brakes or a dashboard you could use at night. (Cue a toggle switch). My boyfriend got her brakes and then sheet metal and tarred the floor boards. Had a piece of industrial bar for a bumper, a passenger door that you had to lift to close and the best damn Kraco stereo I could buy at the time. I miss her.

looks great, love the shimmering red. :) and detailed interior, too! but why don't we get to see the engine bay? :) my first car was a 1977 Ford Taunus Wagon, signal green with green interior. lasted me 13 years; thrashed it because neglect and me heading for older models. though there wasn't that much to fix to begin with. I should have kept it.

truck ended up looking great , you should 3d print a few more of them and other 3d printed accessorys youve done in the past. ive seen alot of people selling other 3d printed stuff on ebay. some of the odds and ends youve made would prob sell decent there as alot isnt on there either way keep up the great work

I’m late to the show, just started my very first custom truck, a Greenlight country road d100 into my 67 w100 flatbed. And this comment just caught my eye because I just ordered a bunch of 3d 1:64 accessories off eBay. There’s not a ton of it, but just enough, and some guys are willing to work from pics and make custom stuff. I really wish someone would make leaf springs and shocks and stuff, at least I ain t found it yet if they do
@Death_tous_all10 ай бұрын
@@TheFrogfeeder there was one floating around on ebay that did it but it was a frame springs shocks and a set of tires/rims but it was hit and miss what year/styles he would do it in. most of his work was bigger scale typically tho so had to search his work ill look to see if it was what u needed. ill have to see if i saved the seller or if hes even active now, also awesome to hear a few others are starting up best of luck on the truck trucks in the future! alot of the time people chop up the green light monster trucks for a higher stance, and swap out tires and such, or they build up the axles with a putty and add a plastic or metal piece to slide the axles thru to make the higher stances by what ive seen if they dont go the chopping up of another truck

My 1st truck, I bought it in 1980 traded my '74 Camaro, was a 1978 K10 Fleetside, with 12,500 miles, 350, 4 speed, 8' box with a Fisher 8' power angle plow and a 3" lift. Living in the northeast I figured I could make a buck or 2. Well that fell flat, so I sold the plow. So I sold the plow and bought a set of ProTrac Hi Rollers 14x36/15 tires and American Racing 15x10 Aluminum wagon wheels, a 3" diameter one piece roll bar and 4 6" KC Highlighter, 2 100,000 CP & 2 250,000 CP, fog lights. That thing would go through anything.
