Grip strength is often overlooked in most training plans.
Stronger grip = more fiber recruitment = bigger, stronger muscles.
A lot of the typical grip training exercises are focused on building the forearms (e.g. wrist curls) when we really need to be focusing on strengthening our hands.
3 of our favorite grip training tools are:
1. Plate Holds - The key to this exercise is to grab the thickest plate you can handle. Bumper plates work great for this.
2. Towel Hangs - If you don't have a towel pull-up set up in your gym, get one. It's a great pull-up variation but also a great finisher for the day to burn out your grip.
3. Rice Digs - You'll need a bucket filled with rice for this exercise but it's one of the best grip training tools for dynamically training your grip and finger strength.

To improve grip strength, I recommend filling a bigger bucket with sand and striking it with everything thing you got, push through the pain and you come out stronger and tougher with hands capable of splitting rocks

Do you mean punching it? I’m not sure how that could help grip strength. Yes it will toughen your hands but I don’t think the injury risk is worth it. Punching anything without proper technique is a sure way to injury.

Can you guys do a knee health video? Possibly cover warmup/foam rolling and strengthening exercises to help avoid/minimize risk of knee pain?
@yanabi83
@yanabi83 3 жыл бұрын
Never use a foam roller on joints or bone. Muscle only. Don't use it on knees.
@Enzo-ey6ds
@Enzo-ey6ds 3 жыл бұрын
right, i'm referring to foam rolling muscles surrounding the knee to alleviate tightness that causes imbalances and increases risk of injury, as well as mobility and strengthening exercises to increase stability and reduce risk of injury.

He’s showing exercises that increase grip strength. The bucket of rice is very popular with athletes and has been for a long time. So I’m not sure what the “LOL” is about. Did he say there weren’t jobs that increase grip strength? No. Obviously if one is watching this video and has a weak grip, they don’t have those jobs.
