If I want to improve explosiveness would it help to do all the exercises as normal but fast on the way up and then squeeze or does that defeat the point of the long and slow tension on the way up

No you are correct, explode up to improve power. Just be mindful of not letting your technique slip by increasing speed.

Hey there, I'd recommend at least 2 days off after doing a workout like this if you're used to that level. Maybe some light cardio in-between. If you're new to it, you may need up to 3-4 days off for the muscles to fully recover. This will get less as you get used to the demands of the workout.

How many days to train is dependant on your level, goal, experience, and understanding of muscle building. For example, 4 days is great for a beginner with varied workouts. Easiest way is to take my Program quiz, then look at the program it suggests for your level and goal.
