thanks! this kind of videos really motivates me to start woodworking. How much time does it take to carve the seat to its final shape? it seems like a lot of wood removed and quite a delicate work

When you drilled the holes in the seat of the chair, were these some sort of depth guides? I have never seen that technique used on these chairs before, its brilliant. Thanks again for sharing your build process.

David yeah they are depth guide holes to help make power carving easier

I'm really enjoying your work! What carving disc or dish and what courseness are you using? Have you ever tried using a sanding pad on a variable speed angle grinder? What carving tool where you using at minute 12 to get the seat detail? Just started following you on IG. Really great stuff!

AlabamaWoodworker I use kutzall grinding wheel for 95% of the grinding then I switch to a flap disk to smooth out the grinding marks. You can see all of that in my last video about the seat. Then at the end of the video I am using another kutzall product in a die grinder
