I can't believe all these roof racks (their supports) are made of plastic. Even more expensive ones are mostly plastic.

Yes. Felt like some injection molded hard plastic. The cross bar is thin aluminum. It seems to be doing good so far but I haven’t put anything super heavy on it.

Are those racks any good still? Have you used them much?

I haven’t put any load on them yet. Other than that they seem fine so far.
