In this video, I walk you through my simple process on how to build a brand from scratch! I will be rebranding my own business HanSelah Design Studio over the next few videos in this series. This is my full brand identity design steps and process of creating a brand. I follow this brand design process when I design for my freelance graphic design and branding clients. First, we start with brand strategy and understand the reason WHY we need branding and personal brands. This is my full brand identity design process from start to finish that I follow when designing and creating a brand for brand design clients. Follow these simple brand design process steps and learn how to create a brand from scratch.
In Part 1, we focussed on having a good brand strategy is so important for branding because it helps you understand who you are, what you do and why you do it. Strategy also helps you understand your target audience (target market) and how to speak to them directly. Having a an established brand strategy outlines your tone of voice and how the public will interpret your brand.
Building an effective brand strategy also builds brand trust and brand recognition - which is all very important when you are marketing yourself, your business, your brand or your company online.
Now in part 2, I show you how to create a moodboard for your branding suite. This is a moodboard creation tutorial for graphic design brand identity design. Having a distinct moodboard before you start designing is so important in the visual identity process. This is simple tips and tricks on how to create a visual reference and decide on your brand colours.
I aim to help teach beginner graphic designers and students how to level up your graphic design and brand design skills to get more freelance design clients and make graphic design your full time job. Become a better graphic designer today!

Interesting to see so many designers use orange/yellow, I never noticed. When I was choosing a color for my brand (I knew I wanted purple), I thought so many designers use that one. So, it might just be the designers and studios that you are noticing the most that use orange, but they might not be that many overall. I do like the end color palette though 😁

Honestly, I work on like different projects weekly, from brand development to website development. My portfolio was last updated in 2021, and my website is still offline because I cannot agree with what I really want for my branding.
