Nifty kit build there Nate. Rules for tiny homes in Az it must have at least 4 - 8' walls on the exterior. Mine is 18' x 18' full size bathtub sink and a tall toilet, the walk in closet is 5' x 6' Instant propane hot water medium sized fridge, 4 burner apartment stove, RV 2 whole sink, and a deep freeze. Fully insulted and an 8k btu ac unit with 5 windows total heat a 1500 watt fake wood stove. Off the grid heat is a propane cabinet style heater.. Weighs about 4500 lbs on blocks 16" high. My office another fridge bath Camper they both run off my van. 15kwh under a 275 watt canadian solar industrial solar panel I can recharge from the grid, the alternator or solar. On the grid about 75 bucks a month. SHTF I just flip the switch and Im off the grid. All screws not 1 nail. Did it all by myself since I'm way older than you guys, just wanted to see if I could still do it. Took 2 weeks. Wife loves it. Got a lot less in it than its current market value of $22,000

No heating, no insulation, no plumbing, no electric... how in the world does he expect to be comfortable all year-round in this place LOL? Absolutely build a small camp fist. I know a guy who built a12x12 cabin with 3/4 loft for sleeping and storage. He built it in his land right near the lake. For several years they used it for vacations....fishing, canoeing, swimming, and many fun evening campfires. 10 years before retirement he started to build his 3,750' sq retirement home 300' up a shallow grade in the woods overlooking the small cabin and the lake. It had two of everything including eight bedrooms. Basically two family homes with a shared great room in the middle. He completed 95 percent of the project well enough to move in right after retirement and with the family and his daughters family in tow, enjoyed the next year living and customizing the little details that would please the missus. They sold their home in the city to put into their retirement fund and they now live happily with their daughter, son in law and the 5 grand kids! He did have to move the small cabin 50' back from the lake because in those years the lake rose and was lapping at the door of the little cabin. So they moved and renovated it into extra guest housing housing and they still enjoy using it for weekend getaways from the main home and fun nights cooking out and sitting by the campfire reminiscing about the past. So build small first and plan ahead on using that small cabin for the rest of your life. Even with the what I call mansion on the hill in the background, being done in complete back woods style in all out luxury, with top of the line furnishings, amenities, appliances, and utilities, it still seems as though that small cabin still manages to steal the show for one reason or another! With its rustic appeal and only the addition of 100w electric and sink and indoor plumbing it provides everything needed for a day or two, near or on the dock or lake! That's how you do it...that is if you save your pennies and budget wisely!

This video shows the benifits of joining like minded people to achieve things. Make good friends, work together to achieve goals and be there for each other to build community. Nice little cabin! A little Jotul wood stove with a top plate for cooking would be perfect in this little cabin. Just a note with your floor boards installation. it would have been better to place some 6mil poly between the floor boards and the pink insulation. Always put the poly on the warm side or condensation will be a problem.

That’s a nice little place you can play with your dolls. Any serious survivalist doesn’t build anything above ground! Dig in man . If you do it right no one will find you and you won’t have to come out for a year! My bunker has a hand pump well with remoted air supplies and filtration. I don’t have any electric anything. You need to live pilgrim style. Dug out 40x30x10 room and basically pour a pool with a steel and concrete roof. Covered the roof with 6” of top soil and let the forest reclaim it. Light and air come in from 3 openings designed to look like storm drains which I can close off individually if I need to. These also serve as access. Nice doll house though

I would want to primer paint each piece before putting it up. There would be no bare wood anywhere. It would all be protected, even where the pieces are nailed together. I always use primer paint or junk paint and cover all six sides of any piece of wood that I use to repair any part of my house. It just gets covered up so the color won't matter.

100 square foot cabin over a hidden 2000 square foot concrete bunker would be perfect for a look out. The underground bunker for storage and emergency short term shelter. The clay soils in your part of the woods would be perfect for underground tunnels. Maybe an indoor water pump would be a good idea too. Im surprised you didnt install a fireplace during the build, those thin walls are going to make it a cold stay in the winter.
@giselehetu3229 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I said the same thing - no electric, no running water, no inulation and worst of all NO HEATING! (I live here and we have 7 months of winter, so without heating, electric or water, nobody I know would survive in a bunkie like this LOL!
@richardk3347 Жыл бұрын
@@giselehetu3229 I live just west of you. The Bunkie is slightly better than a tent. For survival purposes, an underground bunker, a water source, and a source of heat are essential. Power is a convenient luxury if shtf and can be generated by many means. Air, water, and food are priorities, always, depending on season here. Heat and a way to cook/ sanitize water are very important. That's why my community has chosen to remain solely underground during the worst conditions. Very nice; my only concern would be those surrounding trees. With the prospect of forest fires and missiles in high wind, I probably would remove more of the trees surrounding the property a further distance back. Obviously the trees provide shade in hot conditions but they are also pretty destructive in stormy conditions; also you would need to deforest more if you plan on using solar panels.

The only thing I noticed is no insulation in the walls. That looks like it would be a bad thing in Canada, in particular, if you're trying to live in it in the winter. With the notching at the corners, is is possible to insulate the outside and then put up siding? The only other alternative would be to build interior stud walls and insulate in those, but you lose precious inches of floor space. (Although you could make something narrower than a standard 2x4 frame. Maybe 2x2s with spray foam insulation between them and the wall? Spray foam would also seal any gaps that might still be between the exterior boards.)

The Gospel of Salvation/Warnings JESUS CHRIST is the only Lord and Savior this whole creation needs. Please turn to Jesus Christ and get saved now while his grace is still merciful for he is coming soon! John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son”. Isaiah 45:18 “For this is what the Lord says- he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited he says: “I am the Lord, and there is no other”. Deuteronomy 32:39 “See now that I myself am he! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand”. Philippians 2:8-11 “And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. JESUS CHRIST WAS GOD IN THE FLESH; Son of God. John 1:1-5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”. John 1:14 “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth”. How to get SALVATION (be saved): 1. Admit that you are a sinner. Romans 3:32 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death”. 2. Believe that Jesus paid for your sin at the cross. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”. Romans 6:23 “but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus”. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.” 3. Confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and commit your life to him. Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”. 4. Repent (What does repent mean and do? To repent is a change of mind, that leads to a change of heart, that leads to a change in actions. This “change” involves both a turning from sin and a turning to God.) Mark1:15 “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Luke 13:3 “But unless you repent, you too will all perish”. Acts 3:19 “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”. 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”. Once you come to Salvation then comes baptism. (Baptism is an act in which symbolizes one’s renewal/purification and becomes a child of God with the power of the Holy Spirit through water, whether the water is poured on to the forehead or one’s body is immersed into it. This symbolizes the death of our flesh with Christ and our new life through Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.) Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Galatians 2:20 “ I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 3:26-27 “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” 1 Peter 3:21 “And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” WARNINGS!!! Anyone who does not have Jesus Christ will always be condemned and their righteous deeds are like filthy rags. Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit”. Isaiah 64:6 “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away”. Do not worship/sacrifice to other gods; you will only bring harm to yourself. Jeremiah 25:6 “and do not go after other gods to serve them and to worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, and I will do you no harm”. Deuteronomy 8:19 “It shall come about if you ever forget the Lord your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish”. 1 Corinthians 10:20 “No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons”. TAKE HEED NOW!!! Jesus Christ wants you to have a personal relationship with him. He cares and loves you more than his own life that he gave it up for you to be saved. Jesus Christ is the ultimate sacrifice for all mankind; to atoned away all of our sins with his precious life and blood, that we may share in his Kingdom (1 John 2:2 “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world”). Jesus Christ is not about being religious but to be in unity with him and allow him to deliver you from the bondage that this sinful body (flesh) is doomed for; God’s wrath (John 3:36 “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him”). Only through Jesus Christ will you ever get to heaven (John 10:9 “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture”). Seek Jesus Christ only: no other gods can save you from God’s wrath. God’s wrath is not a joke or to be taken lightly (Hebrews 10:31 “It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God”). Remember he is our Creator and all things are possible with him (Matthew 19:26). May God bless you and soften your heart to discern the truth that is in Christ Jesus, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings; the Savior of this world. AMEN!!!

Sure, but could you live in a non-insulated, non-heated bunkie without electricity or running water in long, freezing Canadian winters??? Maybe only for a few summer months? I know I couldn't LOL! Looks cute, but not practical for every-day living!

Don't worry! He's not moving into this place LOL! This bunkie is unlivable during our long cold winter months in Canada - no wood fire stove, no solar, no wall insulation, no plumbing, no electric... one could only survive a few weeks during the summertime in this bunkie! This was obviously him peddling his buddy's dry food company and the company which sells these bunkies (he gets a percentage off of every sale).

I would buy an extra set of walls and a lot of isolation, like rockwool. During a Nuclear winter, temperatures might drop to at least -40°C and below.

I literally bought a 12x32 shed and fully converted it with plumbing and electrical for under 10k it’s being dragged up to a remote 24 acres next month.

@@jilbertb depends on where you live.. my state is about 800-1000 per acre. Very possible to get 2-5 acres of raw land for under 10k

Tap into underground water and natural gas to have running water and heating without smoke of fireplace. Possible gas source if have a vehicle that will run on natural gas. .. also camo the outside of it so not spotted by roaming people.

Won't you need a buried cache locker for your food etc? Also, I would've thought that HEMP BLOCK would be a better choice for exterior to prevent your retreat from catching fire.

Interesting concept. My guess was about $20,000, and just checked it seems to be on sale for just a little bit less than 16,000. With the extras related to site prep finishing inside insulating a little better I’m sure it could quickly reach 20,000. Maybe you should get one of the $20,000 bunkers that Ron is offering and do a install video. would be cool to have it in the same site with a discreet way of getting from the Bunkie to the bunker.

I like the set up. i just wouldnt want to be exposed i would prefer something underground. I have seen some survivalists build tiny homes literally into the ground. With the roof sticking up maybe a foot above the ground. 2 bedrooms a living room/kitchen water catch underground solar with electricity. Quite the ultimate shtf house
