"was never designed to be utilized to be used in the ring. Of course it has been, by many people" The one person that jumps to mind is Rampage Jackson. So many of his defensive highlights have him ramping punches away from his head with his forearms. Has he ever trained CM specifically? Was it convergent evolution?

It's a common challenge, not unique to martial arts, where coaches sometimes use my materials to train others without proper attribution. This is often been the case with big name fighters and those who have taught them. While this is an unfortunate reality, the bigger issue lies in the nuances lost in translation. No matter how comprehensive my instructional videos are, they can't fully convey the depth and intricacies of the system I've developed. When fighters are trained second or third-hand by instructors who haven't worked directly with me, they receive only a shadow of the full program. What's missing is the holistic understanding and the finer details that are crucial to the effectiveness of the techniques and philosophy I teach. This gap often leads to a dilution of the system's true potential and effectiveness - and I see this often in those 'attempting' to apply it in combat sports.

I learned CMD basics a long time ago through Rodney's instructionals. Later on, I saw approximations of bitd and pieces of it used and taught by MMA guys and there were crucial things missing that made their ways less secure. With Rodney's system (the fundemental level I know anyway), I feel like I have a protective cage around my head and neck. Just in case you're wondering, he also teaches how to deal with body shots while keeping the integrity of the head protection. I personally haven't seen anyone in MMA who runs on his system. Sometimes I wish that some of my favorite fighters would. Especially ones with "hands low" stances when they get in a dog fight. I think they would be much better off for it.
