The Mighty Max needs a crossmember installed thats strong enough to support the upper bars of our parallel 4-link. The original builder attached the angled upper bars of the triangulated 4-link to the front bed mounts which seems like a terrible idea... But after several years of driving, it seems to have worked! In this episode we attach a crossmember between those bed mounts.
The upper bars (and their mounts) of a parallel 4-link are under much less stress than the angled bars of a triangulated 4-link and we'll be reinforcing the bed mounts just to make sure.
