Raff, your carpentry and fabrication skills sure do shine through with all you & Sascha have done to pretty much overhaul this boat inside and out. I am the son of a carpenter myself, so I know what you guys have got going on here. Measure at least 3 times, cut only once! You do excellent work, sir! Sascha, you also have a gift of being able to work with your hands as well, it's something that more ladies should learn. You also have done very well with mechanical projects, and have proven yourself already in that regard. I'm a retired mechanic, was in the biz for 35+ years, so can recognize when someone has the aptitude for this sort of work. You two kids keep chasing all your dreams and you both will make it happen! Thank you for another great episode, and fair winds/following seas to you all when underway!😎👍👍👍

You will improve the long term results with the wood by sealing the bottom of the countertop. This will tend to keep tensions in the wood somewhat equal and reduce warping.

Teaching me a few thing's and I'm a Design and Technology teacher of 23 years (Industrial Arts or shop teacher in the states). Remember when using the table saw full extension of the blade is the safest due to the angle of attack of the blade less likely to kickback. Hardtop was awesome, inspiring me to hit a yacht just.... finishing a 26ft power boat.

Raff I hope I spelled that correctly. Man when I saw you cut and lay the deck they way you did I said this man has talent he is not telling us about. He knows what he is doing! Great design work. I have built a lot cabinets for my self and friends over the years. But not on a boat on the hook. That takes planing and special considerations man you nailed it! The galley has turn out fantastic. That was outstanding advice about the pre stain and the end grain prep.

i work on sea going tugboats. Our stoves are fixed. They have fiddle rails around the edges and extra bars to make a grid for each burner. We use deep pots to cook in and wedge them in placed with tin cans from which both bottom and top are cut off. Tug boats don’t heel but oh can they roll! And pitch and yaw.

Install stove top, air fryer and fiddles then add lead weights in bottom of your gimbaled cabinet under your air fryer to level your cabinet at zero with no pots.
@paul_gradenwitz
@paul_gradenwitz Жыл бұрын
I like the explanation, but have you considered how the stove gimbals when you lean to the other side? Then that top will move towards the back because the gimbal point is below the top plate. In the pictures it would not work, but reality and pictures might differ.
@SpearItAnimal
@SpearItAnimal Жыл бұрын
Later in the video at 15:25 you can see Raf addresses that. We cut the bottom edge of the back lip at a 45 degree angle so when we're heeled to Starboard the stove top has free gimbal room as well. And the counter still looks flush all the way around.

Hi guys when you start to travel and booking in to new countries this information has come from lazy Greco channel as I said when booking in make sure you book in as captain and pilot and not captain and mate as if anything was to happen. To the captain the mate can’t move the boat but the pilot can hope this will be helpful to you on your travels in the future pass it on to sailing friends
