Thank you Joyce as always! The stalls are coming along nicely and nearing completion. I introduced them all to it tonight and fed them there. Just a brief introduction and will put them back there tomorrow for a bit longer. We have a winter mix of freezing rain coming in Sunday morning turning to snow Sunday night into Monday. We will see, weather predictions change so often but everyone is panic buying at the grocery stores. I say it is what it is and I’ll take it when and if it comes but at least I can get the kids and babies out of the weather and into some stalls. Have a great weekend!

I'm in Commercial Construction and feel you pain my friend. They cost my company hundreds on hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. It's hard to deal with them. Love the build

So my girlfriend and I are wanting to start a small horse farm. I've been in a specialized heavy haul field and the crane business my whole young adult life. I've learned some amazing skills but feel so overwhelmed and inept thinking about building a structure like this. Gotta start somewhere I suppose, looks great!

Thank you Rob I appreciate it! I had someone build the building for me but as you see I did the inside myself. Just too expensive when you tell someone you want them to build you a horse barn. I’m not a builder at all and have never done this before. I just knew what I thought I wanted and went with it. Very happy with how it turned out but watched a lot of KZbin to get pointers first. Wasn’t that bad but it’s slow when your doing it yourself and figuring it out day by day. Lots and lots of trips to Home Depot as I couldn’t possibly know what I needed until I needed it. Good luck with your endeavors! You can do it if you put your mind to it. Thank you for watching! Dave

Great videos, I really appreciate the details especially with the doors. I am looking into doing the same for my wife for two stalls? I tried to find the link as you mentioned but I don't see it. Also how do you know what to order i.e. what do I need for the 10' section for the slide?

Great work! Can you please tell me the finished height of the 2x8 headers for the stalls?
@bdradley12 жыл бұрын
8 1/2 Ft approx. I used a 12 ft post and buried approx 3 ft in ground and then used a happy medium so the headers would all be level and then cut the remainder post off. I appreciate it and thanks for watching! Dave

Sorry you went through that! I know people in Illinois who had this exact same problem with the building code officers. I like the result you are getting with your camera. Can you share what model you use? This was great instructional video - very clear and easy to understand especially since the assembling of the door and tracks could go wrong in so many ways. Thanks so much for making this!

Thank you sweet liberty I appreciate it! I’m just using my iPhone 11 believe it or not. It’s what I started with and seems to do the job for me and is simple to use with iMovie that’s already on your phone. Thx for watching! Dave

You mention getting the hardware from National. What is their full name? I am in Saskatchewan Canada and would like to know how to order that hardware. Thanks. I hope I can find your answer once I sign out.

Did you use concrete for stall posts?
@bdradley1 Жыл бұрын
Yes but I just put it in dry and packed it in tight. I know this is controversial but as it soaks up ground moisture and hardens fine. Others say it should always be mixed with water first. Thx for watching, Dave
