Bricks are also very apt backstory wise, and ties very well into reality. Historically people built out of the materials close to them, and clay was a very abundant resource in northern Europe; way more abundant than things like limestone which southern Europe mainly built out of. My hunch is that you are portraying a northern location because of the swampy coastline. For example was places like Amsterdam almost built wholly out of brickwork because of the simple fact, so it's very realistic that you are building out of bricks, at the same time spectacularly beautiful

You’re spot on! The area is inspired by coastal europe like netherlands, denmark, poland etc. And there would be alot of clay in the marshes

@16:19 Solar is the correct term for the private area for the family (lord, duke, king, etc...) and it was usually on an upper floor. As usual, you nailed it here with this entire build. Can't wait to see it in more detail.

I think the crossbows are called arbalests! Sort of larger crossbows, and it looks amazing and very functional In general the different kill zones on this castle are insane, and I love how well fortified yet beautiful it is!

Wow i love the castle! Worth the wait! One thing I would add is some sort of crane to lift goods and building materials to the innermost courtyard as that one is only accessible by stairs and i can imagine it's kind of a pain to carry everything up those stairs

You really outdid yourself. Amazing work. As for the undead in the crypts. Now I want to suggest you add heavy iron bars caging in each crypt chamber. Then put a zombie nametagged as the grandfather of the king and a skeleton named as the great grandfather of the king just shuffling around in a couple of them. Or get an NPC mod going and they're just reading or bitching at each other. XD

I love this castle. Have you thought about adding big farms all around the city? Right now it feels a bit un realistic that there are no farms, but it still looks amazing. Yeah i know that there are small farms inside the city, but it wouldnt be enough in real life to sustain a city. If you make those huge farms i suggest you to create houses and bakeries nearby them.

Building Skill 100 Maybe you should consider putting a wall behind the archery range. If an archer misses his shot and there's people at the back, I dunno man, I think they won't have a good time

You're the only MC youtuber who builds castles more realistically (I mean, builds castles that are not ALWAYS, EVERY SINGLE TIME Norman). Also from brick. If there's tiers to basic knowledge about castles, them being anything but Norman would be tier 2 and brickbuilt tier 3. Too bad you're not building in vanilla as well. This way, there is yet to exist a single MC brick castle on youtube.
