I recognize that Elf! Curse of Strahd is right in core of her area of interest. Excited for this new project.

That terrain is utterly delicious. Beautifully painted, as are the minis. Your additions to the core modular sets work so well. I have never played Curse of Strahd so am very much looking forward to your upcoming playthrough.

Love how the terrain and creatures turned out. The cool blue overtones and red undershades really bring the monsters together.

Was always my favourite AD&D adventure, played it many many times in the 80s and 90s.
@MMallon425 Жыл бұрын
didn't get a chance to play through the original module but the Expedition to Castle Ravenloft reboot in v3.5 was a blast. Tons of content in the local villages and countryside before the adventure even starts, and the randomized "What is Strahd doing" hook to get the players to show up (as well as the Tarot reading that randomizes how you defeat him) was lots of fun.

What a great Video! This series sounds AMAZING! I'm thinking the ultimate shading for flooring would be a Darker wood tone applied first to get the high contrast and airbrush fllow up with lighter shades. The furniture looks great too😃.

I love your work! It gives me so many ideas and inspiration for making terrain for my own home games! You also convinced me I should start adding normal tabletop miniature prints to my store page, I wasn't convinced that they would sell but just seeing you talk about it and how you liked the detail is leading me to think otherwise!

Awesome! This is perfect for the Ghostbusters one-shot I'm working on. It's going to be set in my local museum (The Royal BC Museum) and I'm using the actual floor plans to create the maps. This looks like just the way to handle it :)

I tried to do this for the entire campaign but we suffered a TPK so never finished the entire thing but got a good chunk of my undead models painted up (i own all factions) not a single fieldable army however unless im allowed a grand alliance death one. Currently doing it with a campaign i plan to DM down the line and im about a quarter done

Curse of Strahd was the first campaign I'd ever completed as a player, and I absolutely loved Death House. It looks amazing!
@benweinberg3819 Жыл бұрын
Totally the move to airbrush the wood. That warm red tone looks like the beautifully varnished floors of a haunted mansion and will help the minis stay the focus on camera! Could you explain a bit more why you think priming on the sprue is faster in the end? Seems like with the extra step of airbrush primer you would actually lose time in the end, but I might have missed something

@JenxRodwell Жыл бұрын
This is a wonderful looking build and video, well done! Though I will admit hearing someone refer to the "classic D&D module" Curse of Stradh and not, ya know, Ravenloft just makes my head spin hah.
@DanaHowl Жыл бұрын
Hahaha yeah I know!!! Originally I had a joke about it being based on a classic module thats based on a classic module thats based on the classic module Ravenloft in the intro but it had to be cut for time!

this is very cool. im coming to it 8 months later, and id be concerned (if i wete to do this myself) that if characters were to go up and down floors (or be split across floors) thered be no way to make that work. did that happen in your game?
@DanaHowl5 ай бұрын
Here's how i played it... i told my players up front there would be a sort of "loading screen" when they moved between floors, and that would be our meal break sort of thing and I had time to reconfigure the floors, so I worked out okay just letting everyone know up front!

@brendanarmstrong7802 Жыл бұрын
Oh, no. I'm so sorry. Curse of Strahd is actually a Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition campaign. That City of Absalom kit is for Pathfinder, and isn't actually compatible with D&D5e. The stats are completely wrong, and your balance will get all screwed up. You'll have to purchase the City of Waterdeep box. The sprue is the same, but the tiles all perform based on D&D rules instead of Pathfinder rules.

I really liked watching you work with the foam. Too bad its more about assembling plastic than real building a modular house. Imo the plastic is only good for a reference build. So you can build the floor in plastic and when it is the way you like it, you make it from xps foam and balsawood.
