Building a new wheelhouse on a Seal Islander Boat

I was asked about replacing a forward console with a new aluminium wheelhouse on a boat in Lerwick. Happily I took on the job with help from Scott and Callum. I am very pleased with how it turned out. And Stuart the owner has done a great job of the finishings.

Was this boat in Helmsdale, Sutherland on Scottish mainland a few years ago? She was black Gelcoat I remember if it was her. What a great job this new wheelhouse is and it looks fab!

Hi. Great work thanks for sharing. I notice some profiles are cut on CNC but some are still cut using plywood templates. Thanks David

Yes i cant help but fall back on the old ply wood for fitting up panels that might take a while in cad for a one off job like this. I have loads of templates in the shed from builds gone by and they are very handy. Cheers

roughly speaking with aly prices at the time it was around 5k materials and labour for fab work.
